I was really rooting for Andre to be a player; he was a lot of fun to watch at UConn even though **** UConn. But yeah, in the NBA setting, I just don't think he's enough of a threat with the ball in his hands to utilize him on-ball, and his lackluster everything else offensively makes him difficult to play off-ball. He needs to turn into a DPOY caliber defender to be more than a limited bench role type of guy IMO and (1) that's such a high bar for anyone and (2) I just don't see that in him personally.
I think you've got to do stuff where he's in the corner and just flashes to open space to be a passer. Catch, pass. That's where he's at his most valuable offensively on a play-to-play basis. Creating advantages by passing faster than the defense can react.
