He struggled so much in FIBA and college and the all-star circuit because

1. He's too weak
2. He's too unathletic
3. Can't dribble well enough to beat high level competition
4. Jumpshot is too low and slow to get off

And all of these issues are still very apparent in the NBA.

He just needs a complete body and jumpshot transformation.

it was always the biggest red flag, his personality and body. They can afford to bring him along slowly but you can't fix his mental. He's going to have to completely change his mindset if he ever wants to succeed.

I don't think his mindset is really a problem. He just knows his limitations and he just can't do anything on the court right now so he doesn't do anything.

His jumpshot being so low and slow and his handle being so rudimentary means there's not really opportunities for him to do anything against NBA players.

So when did Ryan Dunn learn to shoot like prime Klay Thompson?

If this is real Suns a new team.

That shot looks money. So fundamentally sound.

Ware so far has been the most impressive rook to me, haven't seen a bad game yet from him in SL and now preseason

Quincy Olivari

Anyone watch this guy in college? Can't find anything on this guy who is now on a two-way for Lakers.

He was on my spreadsheet for upperclassman who improved, but his jump is incredible. He was basically a neutral player by BPM his first 4 years and then made a massive leap his 5th year while transferring to the Big East.

Another example of a player showing growth and improvement isn't linear. Honestly, bad miss by many here and goes to show you that the Data should be trusted for players like this with massive improvements late in their college careers.

As someone not high on either of those SF/PF [Hendricks/Walker], the whole Saga between them is looking ironic now given both seem lost.

Risacher's release is incredibly quick. I was quite high on him pre-draft, but I don't recall his release being so fast. It looks like Atlanta is going to utilize him as a larger Kevin Huerter--off-ball and in movement. If he can truly become a movement shooter at his size, watchout.

Hendricks looks like a beast physically. If "completely lost" means shooting 3-5 on deep with 2 steals and a block, please tell Jonathan Kuminga he needs to look even more lost.

he played better in the second half but in the first he was completely lost. i am a Hendricks fan I need him to do well but he's been pretty damn disappointing for what I thought was a player who fit the physical profile of a modern 4 to a tee.

Bad injury as it stalls development. A year of prime development for Hendricks.

He should be playing day 1 for the Cavs. Can provide some much needed juice to their offense.

He has played 16 mins all in garbage time, that is with a Strus injury.

last year we had 7 rookies average over 10 points

so far this year the highest is Bub at 8.7. still early obviously, but something to track.

Jazz are force feeding Cody Williams minutes and he's easily the worst player in the NBA right now.

He just has no chance physically right now, he's AT LEAST 30 pounds away from being able to do anything on either end.

I... I don't know if this is a good strategy for development or not.

He's not really getting experience at all, he just hangs out in the corner because he's not physically ready for the league at all.

I was fine with the pick, but wanted him in the G-League for the first year or two and I don't think this is really helping him at all.

The Ryan Dunn shooting revelation is one of the strangest things I can remember in terms of NCAA to NBA immediate translation.
In the last 14 games of the NCAA season last year he shot 29% FT and made 1 three. And now he has jumped into the NBA immediately (even early as preseason) as a 40ish% volume 3pt shooter

If he had any semblance of offense at all in college he would have been a lottery pick. Looks like a major steal for Phoenix.

Maybe that's why Tony Bennett retired.
