2006? For screwing things up drafting Tyrus Thomas?
No,moves like extending Vuc ,Pat and keeping Zach besides Coby and Ayo upgrading their games won´t drive us for a high pick.
And Lonzo is coming back.

2017. If they didn't foolishly sign Sean Kildraftpick, we'd be on track to draft either Luka or Trae instead of Wendell. We were right there with Atlanta and Dallas in terms of wins and losses up until they stupidly won games so close to the end of the season :banghead:

The Vegas over/under is 27.5. The money people are usually spot-on, so we might be OK lol.

Or you know, scouted better and didn't draft the undersized center. Great players went even later in the draft like Mikal Bridges and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Not to mention Jalen Bruson who was a local high school product

Woah that is low. Is that bottom 5?

I edited my post like a million times and eventually went even lower because 30 still seemed too high to me to even mention it as a possibility lol.

Yes. I think we will be fine. I think 27.5 is a fine line, but I'd take the under.

This team with DeMar and Caruso was a 40-win team, which squarely sat in the play-in range. The question is, can this current roster replicate the kinds of things that both of those guys contributed?

Defense. We lost Caruso, but it looks like we'll be giving more playing time to Terry and Philips. How much worse are we gonna be than a 21st ranked defense?

DeMar offense. We lost the guy that can get you buckets on demand and won us too many games in the clutch, but we gained Giddey who theoretically should be able to help make everyone else's job easier. Does that translate to better than a 19th ranked offense over the course of a season?

If both of these factors ended up being a wash, then we're gonna need a lot of lottery luck to land a top 5 pick.

If the team ends up winning 35-40 next year that will be a bit sad. A high lottery pick is important because the team needs to think about it's future.

Right now there's nobody on the roster who could potentially be a star to build a contending team around. Maybe Matas ends up being better than expected, but I say that because he's new.

Maybe ending with a 35-40 record can be better than watching AKME screwing with another high pick .
I don´t believe in a winning future with AKME running the show ,let the youngs play and develop for the best possible record.

Im no fan of AKME, but Id prefer that they have some "dumb luck" and draft a good player (the percentage of that happening is higher with a higher pick) than continuing to field a 35-40 win team every year.

Yes. Just looked it up.

Only the Pistons, Nets, Wizards and Blazers are lower.

IMO Lonzo will be the wild card that determines how bad the team will be. If he's healthy and can play ~20mpg, I actually think the Bulls can get to 35-40 wins, which will be very bad.

If Lonzo can only play <10mpg and is ineffective then 25-30 wins is much more likely.
