I've seen JB pissed off like he was in the last Time Out before.
I expect some weird(er) rotations for the next game.

Ivey 26/43 in the preseason and 9/17 from three, hopefully he's in line for a big year. He's obviously the biggest make or break guy on the team this year. But honestly I was excited for him after his rookie season. If we exclude last year (where coach had it out for him very first game of the season), his career path isn't nearly as bad as some people would think. Hopefully last season was an outlier.
THJ 1/16 from three in the preseason. Who would have thought we had a worse three point shooter than Ausar?

GS with a huge 20 pt lead early and it never really moved. The worst games.

That was brutal. Our starters basically played their bench guys even. And then their deep bench guys destroyed our regular bench guys. Honestly, this looked like last years team with Cade and Ivey driving into a brick wall of traffic. Very little ball movement. We didn't play with pace. The only real bright spot was Duren blocking some shots.
I hope THJ isn't as cooked as he's looked so far. 3-21 from the field. 1-16 from 3. And basically all of his looks are coming from 3. Guy has only take 5 2 point attempts in 4 games. If your 3 isn't falling, you've got to contribute in other ways and he's not.

I only watched the fugly first half. Our starters barely kept pace with their bench. Lovely.

Ask Dallas fans about how last year went before he was finally put to pasture.. That was with a team with a lot to play for. And even after that we acquired him.

I was at the game. My excitement to see the Pistons live was quickly extinguished by our serious lack of shooting. A couple of positives - Tobias helps a lot. I was meh on the signing but we need guys that know how to play. He at times seems to be the only one that does. Another observation is that Ivey is going to be better. He was always working hard. And shooting better. It was a pretty messed up season for him last year. Expecting better things from him this year. Regardless, overall, I just came away with the feeling that we are a few years away from being a few years away. Already excited about the draft.

He was playing rotation minutes up until the west semi finals, but yeah, his shooting fell off a cliff post all-star break. No idea what is up with him. No known injuries and really not that old.

4 preseason games in and folks are finally coming to terms with reality.

I am willing to do a friendly wager with you.theBigLip wrote:I was at the game. My excitement to see the Pistons live was quickly extinguished by our serious lack of shooting. This is the year, the Pistons turn heads. Not in the traditional sense, (playoffs!)but like the Rockets. Just narrowly miss out on the play-in, but are now recognized as an actual, factual, NBA team, that are building a legitimate future.
I am unsure exactly what you mean by a "few years away, from being a few years away", but I'm confident its not what I'm saying.

I’m sure we’re going to be better, but we need a few more of the young guys to step up significantly if we’re ever going to get to the playoffs.
So what’s the wager?
