Suggs and Isaac are the key again this season, like I said before last season. If they can both play 70-80 games, we could improve on last season's record.

I hate the 3 guard lineups that we've been playing in the preseason.

My North Star is the belief that Paolo, Franz, and Suggs are one of the best young cores of all time. That would explain the growth rate we are seeing. This implies that Paolo is a generational talent and Franz and Suggs are future all-stars.

I'm very confident in Franz and Paolo hitting these ceilings. If not Suggs, then AB. If not Suggs or AB, then a trade.

If Franz and Paolo develop as expected, you don't need a third star anyway.

See now this is the kind of optimism I like.

More interested in Paolo's advanced & impact stats this year than raw per game numbers. He finally needs to become a positive impact player (preferably even relatively clearly) & much more efficient. Playing again without a PG wont make it easier for him. Without a PG creating him easy baskets i expect him to continue to struggle finishing at the hoop but i'm hopeful he takes & makes more 3's.

I predict Franz never makes an all-star game, his entire career. Suggs will make it once or twice.

I predict

Eyriq gets a chance to riot in high heels by Feb
Skybox adds at least 3 clauses to the drinking game
drsd starts a cat side gig on the socials
VFX agrees with me that Mosely is the weakest link
Knightro starts 72 out of the 82 game threads

I bring my avg post count up to 22 posts per day taking a quantity over quality approach.

Wait, did you mean the team or the forum?

My riot criteria remains AB rotting on the bench. I'm feeling good about him getting in the rotation. 8-)

Do we know this for sure yet? I lost power last couple days and dropped off the map. Also what gives with this long pre-season stretch of nothing???

This is my high heels topic foo sure. Funny how knightro and myself react exactly the same way yet hold polar opposite opinions.

Is this the new definition of "agenda" - basically not seeing it exactly as you?

Kind of like how "literally" and "amazing" and "Patriot" have been largely bastardized in recent years.

Just seems like a lot of mental gymnastics happens on here to state he isn’t a PG. besides Franz has no clue, right?

It's all pedantic anyway. If Black has an Ingles-like role this year where he is initiating a decent number of sets and is playing with the ball in his hands a decent amount (which is what I would assume they would want a bit of), that's way better than not having many touches at all and Cole getting a disproportionate amount. Cole still needs the ball at times too as long as he's on the team, and when he's playing well, he is effective.

Again, this isn't 2008 anymore. There are tons of ball-handlers on every team and very few players are playing pure PG with the ball in their hands 100% of the time.

The quote, ironically, reminds me of TRoss commenting after a couple of days of camp opening that (then rookie) Franz can really shoot it!

People aren't even taking sides here...we all just have different takes on what we've seen (vs what we're simply hoping for - which isn't the same thing). Wouldn't everybody on this board be thrilled if AB IS a formidable PG? like he was drafted to be. It's only been one season but...we haven't SEEN it yet - doesn't mean anyone's rooting against him or ( ) has an AGENDA. :banghead:

Clearly...I hate Franz too
