Bad Monkey was my favorite book by Carl Hiasson, one of my favorite authors. The series on Apple managed to be even better by being pretty faithful to the book and also getting the very best of Vince Vaughn’s comedic talent as the lead character.
"I think the criticism's stupid," Stevens said. "So I don't care. I'm with Jaylen (Brown) on that. Those two had achieved more than most 25 and 26 year olds ever had. I'd rather be in the mix and have my guts ripped out than suck."

I'm only on Ep 2 but Ant is so annoying haha. If you're that good you don't have to constantly tell people you're good.

Horrible show!

Spoiler:
- Made me not hate Jimmy Butler as much.
- Made me respect Lebron a bit more.
- Made me like Sabonis. Are his eyes more beautiful than Al's?
- Made me hope that Ant never wins a title.

Save yourself this misery and skip to episode 10!
We won it for Al!!!

I just finished episode two also and I'm getting whiplash because they keep switching between Sabonis who looks like a nice, well adjusted person who happens to be really good at basketball and Anthony Edwards ignoring his hungry and pregnant girlfriend to play video games on thanksgiving.

This exposes Edwards as a terrible human during the birth of his child. Your child is born and you give a **** about a game your team lost? Moral compass needs to be addressed.

From my experience, it takes one person to raise a child. Fortunately, I had my wife join the journey early on. AE is embarrassing.

I finished that last night and really liked it. Although I don't really know why it's called Bad Monkey haha. The monkey was only a bit player and never really did anything bad. Good show though!

Also, if anyone has Starz, the new show Sweetpea is awesome so far. Ella Purnell goes from wallflower to psycho killer.

Finally got to finish Manhattan, the TV series about the invention of the first atomic bomb. Kinda. More fictional than Oppenheimer. So it's like For All Mankind (which I love) but about Fat Man and Little Boy and the "people who created them" instead of space exploration. Bunch of familiar faces in it including the women leads of Mrs. Maisel and Evil. Got canceled abruptly after two seasons so I felt they had more stories to tell.

Sweetpea was a quick watch. It's like Killing Eve but less elaborate/elegant. Ella Purnell from Yellowjackets/Fallout stars in it. Slow Horses new season is as awesome as ever. Should have more episodes or at least two seasons per year lol. Don't get the hype around Industry though I keep watching it. Penguin is engaging enough. At least more than most shows Marvel was churning out.

And If you're a wrestling fan as a kid in the 80s/90s, McMahon is a must-watch. For those missing Reservation Dogs, try No One Will Miss Us on Prime. Colin from Accounts (Aussie show) is the best TV romcom no one talks about.

I had so much TV done during the offseason. :D Now it's time for more championship basketball from our Cs.

In the book, the monkey is supposed to be the monkey from Pirates of the Caribbean movie and is constantly causing mayhem. Probably impossible to film that though.

I saw the trailer for Season 2 of Silo on Apple TV just came out. It was a bit uneven, but I quite enjoyed Season 1 (I haven't read the book).

Same as with Rings of Power Season 2 and Amazon, I cancelled my Apple TV subscription several months ago and now need to decide whether I rejoin or not in order to watch this.

The trailer for the new Dune series looks promising as well.

I agree with all these reactions. My favorite part of the show was the family element and seeing that side of them all. I couldn't help but to have a new appreciation for Jimmy.

Also, LeBron swears too much. Not as if I'm the language police, but you know when a middle schooler is swearing too much on purpose to sound cool? That's sort of what it sounds like.

Caught this on Hulu last night. Best spooky movie I've seen this Halloween season.

Been going through Halloweeny type stuff and watched A Quiet Place Day One last night. Lots of suspense and some very effective jump scares. Solid plot, although I thought the ending may have been a little sappy. Would recommend though.

Honestly as a cat guy my main takeaway was the cat that's in it. Kinda fell in love with the little bugger and I'm blown away by his acting skills lol. Deserves a Cat Oscar for sure.

"Wolf Creek" is a mindf****". My wife always asks me why the hell would I have her watch that? I really don't see the issue.
