I am all for Embiid sitting out B2Bs and exiting the games during blowouts. I just want to get Slimbiid a healthy playoff run. Before he went down last year, he was playing like the best basketball player on the planet. We can beat anyone if we get that version of Embiid.

Sounds like it's a rigourous plan to save his legs literally for the playoffs. I can be behind that. Wish they weren't so cryptic about it initially, should have just said so on Media day. Kawhi rest plan, and a Duncan slimming diet, don't think he'll get the DPOY award because of games play, but if he can play that level of defense it's gravy.

BTW, over and under on ppg for Jo/Maxey/PG now that Jo will miss a good chunk of the season this year?

I think Maxey could be the leading scorer? ANyone have PG leading the team? I doubt it given that they said he'll likely miss back to backs as well.

Bleh, Martin would still be in Miami if his manager was competent. If Martin falls off, it is because of the system and that the guy just got out of his prime, not because of some masterful Riley move.

It's not like Riley is some visionary who never gets it wrong.

Never said he was but that Org runs a tight ship.

I'm not expecting Martin to be a flamethrower come playoffs

To that Embiid gets numbers in his sleep during the regular

In the post season I definitely want Maxey to be the lead dog.

Something like 28ppg, Embiid gets around 25/12 but more importantly becomes the dominant defender (im thinking what Davis did in 2020 but much bigger size) that he's capable of and PG getting around 20 with All NBA type wing defence

Yes it's hope but it doesn't sound too unreasonable lmao.

We just need to build a time machine and get prime thickums Lowry and that's def championship quality imo.

I mean, Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro have 2 of the worst contracts in the league.

Honestly, it makes sense to just let Joel cruise during regular season. He's got his MVP; he got the last extension he'll sign as a player. Now it's all about playoff success. Maxey and PG13 with the rest of the roster should be able to beat most teams in the league except for the true title contenders.

Dominique is unbearable in the commentary. Always complaining and crying for calls
