Scottie might average more ppg at his peak, but he doesn't draw fouls and that's usually the mark of a limited scorer. If we're looking at the most dangerous it will probably be Siakam. The guy with the most potential is Walter. He has 3 level ability + scoring craft.

what 'sure things' did masai fail to draft? only once has he picked lower than 9th, when he went against the grain to get the ROTY and best player in the draft.

there are no 'sure things'. Here are the #1 picks between 2013 and 2019:

Anthony Bennett
Andrew Wiggins
KAT
Ben Simmons
Markelle Fultz
Zion Williamson

Other top 3 picks in these years include dominant winners like Otto Porter, Jahlil Okafor, Lonzo Ball, Brandon Ingram, De Angelo Russell, Marvin Bagley and Jabari Parker.

Sure things lol.

I actually think that aside from Flynn, the first round picks have been good, and trading for Poeltl was good value if ill-timed in the team-building scheme of things. Where I have my criticism is that the team traded away a lot of second round picks, and teams like OKC and Memphis have found some real gems - who end up on cheap salaries - which is a big plus in team-building, especially now with the new apron rules. (Koloko was an unfortunate turn of events). The Raptors are back in the second round now, beginning with the last draft, so let's see if our three SRPs amount to anything.

No one talking about Boston.. those two new wings they got are pretty good..with a very quick first step on offense.. which I don't think Jakobe will be close to.. him being injured is going to throw him back in his development. Really happy for Gradey.. thought he was a catch and shootnplayer..but is showing how much better be can be..

The fact that Masai chose Barnes over Suggs when the media and this whole board was saying Suggs should show how amazing of a drafter he is. His weakness is he gets too attached to the players he drafts. For the picks he had he's definitely top 5 in value added.
