Here is a quick list of what you need in your writeup.

1. Specific years for each player on your team
2. Rotations and minutes for each player
3. Reasoning as to why your team will win and/or why people should vote for you.

Do not vote in this thread until both managers have submitted their writeups. Please ensure you give a rationale for your vote; votes with no explanation will not be counted.

If writeups aren't posted within 24 hours, we will vote solely based on the players they have drafted (and any rotations they have posted on their roster page).

**First to 3 votes advances.**

Obviously, this team revolves around the MJ-Moses pairing, and in particular the insane pressure they put on the rim. We've made them even more deadly in this regard by surrounding them with shooters like Billups and Lewis, who are able to not only match the volume three-point of Korver and DDV, but are also All-Stars who can create their own shot independently. Battier rounds out the starting five as the ultimate 3-and-D glue guy. SMOY Mase leads the second unit, with Wright and Dudley filling in the blanks as savvy vets who defend and hit the open shot. Defensively, we have no particular weak spots, with our wing pairing of MJ and Battier being the main draw.

Matchup
- Defensive assignments will be Billups-Maxey, MJ-KCP, Battier-LeBron, Lewis-Ariza, Moses-Dwight. Mase will also see some minutes on LeBron. We have good positional size at the wing/forward spots and even at PG, so we should be able to hold our own against the LeBron four-out attack.
- Snake has a nicely fitting team around LeBron, but I think the level of playmaking drops of quite a bit when the ball is out of his hands. Maxey and Petrovic are the other primary creators, and neither is what I'd consider a plus passer at their position. We have a bit more variety there with the MJ-Billups backcourt, plus Mase in his nascent point forward role running the show off the bench.
- I like Hartenstein quite a bit, but 9 minutes of him playing PF alongside Dwight hurts, especially since it apparently lines up with LeBron being off the floor. Between MJ, Moses, Billups, and Lewis, we feel like we can keep enough high-end talent on the floor to keep things humming at all times.

Good luck Snake.

PG: Tyrese Maxey 22-23- 15.2 FGA (Sixers)
SG: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope 22-23 - 8.3 FGA (Nuggets)
SF: Trevor Ariza 17-18- 9.7 FGA (Rockets)
PF: Lebron James 12-13- 17.8 FGA (Multi-Team Finals)
C: Dwight Howard 09-10- 10.2 FGA (DPOY)

B: Drazen Petrovic 92-93- 16.2 FGA (Nets)
B: Thabo Sefolosha 15-16 5.0 FGA (Hawks)
B: Isaiah Hartenstein 23-24 4.9 FGA (Knicks)

Total: 87.3/88 FGA

Maxey (32)/KCP (16)
KCP (12)/Petrovic (36)
Ariza (35)/Thabo (13)
Lebron (39)/I Hart (9)
Dwight (38)/I Hart (10)

*These refer to defensive positions. One of Maxey and Lebron play at all times, and when only one is on the floor they are the primary ball handler).

Alrighty let’s do this.

My team revolves around Lebron James, who I firmly believe to be the best player of all time and at his absolute peak in the chosen year. There was nothing he wasn’t good to great at on the basketball floor in this season. I think we can win this game because no individual defender can stop him, and the Lewis/Moses duo leaves a lot to be desired in the rim protection department, particularly when the terrific spacing my team has will mean help on the perimeter is going to either be harder to come by or punished severely.

Moses Malone was a great player in his own right but not a transcendent scoring talent in the post- I think Dwight will prove an effective cover for him. Lebron will guard Lewis, Ariza will cover Jordan, KCP on Billups, Maxey on Battier. Overall I think my general team defense is stronger with comparable offensive firepower.

MJ Moses is the better duo and Battier is the perfect answer to LeBron. Howard will be occupied with Moses as rim protector against Jordan, and Petrovic Maxey minutes can be problematic against MJ Billups.

I tend to dislike Dwight in matchups against Cs bigger than him and with this being a big spot for 2023 Maxey, I think Snake doesn't have enough to match Jordan-Moses-Billups. Vote Fade.

I will hold off on my vote unless it is needed - to avoid any optics of conflict of interest

GG.

I wasn't absolutely wild about my team in this one. I think I got a favorable matchup in the first one but I didn't see this team going the distance. Made a few errors.
