Re: Around the NBA - New Season, New Thread
The people who think Isaiah betrayed us are complete idiots. This guy had the chance to prove himself due to the long injury of a starter and was therefore probably able to get his highest contract in his career. As if a player said that. No **** you, I'd rather play with my boys in New York. Ridiculous!

meh it's not about betrayal or anything. but fans have a right to be salty when a player leaves. the reasons are obvious and understandable. not like he went to a mid team in the eastern conference or something for comparable money.
i wish him the best and everything but obviously wish the knicks get a chip or two in the next few years and OKC doesn't.
as far as Randle (not related to quoted) - he's a very good player and will be good for the wolves in the regular season. the playoffs are TBD as his defense is severely lacking and spacing will be questionable. he creates a lot of "open" looks but not all looks are equal.

Why do you think Christiano Ronaldo is playing for a team in Saudi Arabia? Because of the talent level? I-Hart took the money and run!

IHart made the roght move for himself. I wonder if this knocks the Thunder down a peg in expectations. Jaylin Williams is also out. They only have Chet up front. He's an injury waiting to happen if they give him bigger minutes.

He did say he would have stayed in NY if OKC wasn't a legit contender. Who knows if that is true but I doubt he goes to a crap team like Detroit or something - unless maybe they offered an even bigger deal than OKC did.
my point was more regardless of the reason a player leaves, the fans have a right to be salty. it's not a betrayal or anything but he still chose to leave when we clearly wanted him to stay (front office, teammates, and fans).

for sure i agree. thibs offensive style certainly limits a bit what Ihart can show offensively. I think in OKC he will average more touches/assists etc.
it's a good point about OKC though - injuries at the end of the day can derail any team, including the knicks. OKC is rightfully expected to be very very good and win close to 60 games etc etc - but an injury or 2 can certainly derail them.

Are they going to play him next to Chet at all? Because otherwise he's getting less minutes than last year.

Pretty solid for first game back from injury in a new situation. I figure it’ll be a month or so before it really starts clicking but that team is going to be tough

not sure if they said anything official on that. I think in preseason initially he came off the bench but I believe he did start next to Chet some games. regardless of him starting or not though he's definitely going to play next to chet for stretches. I think it would be smart if they stagger it so one of them is always out there, but there will be some overlap for sure. closing games etc who knows.

I liked the open looks he was generating for the team. He was also showing off that 2 man game with Donte.

It’s like when lil bitches make subliminal records, if it ain’t directed directly at me, I don’t respect it

ANT arguably had is worse shooting performance of his career. I don't know if Randle is in T-Wolves long term plan (or vice versa, I kind of see him heading back to one of the Texas teams), but they'll be fine this season.
Our boy KAT was -7 on his Knicks debut.
Timberwolves board called. They're looking for you.

72 million over 4- we would have given him...The grass is always greener on the otherside...Nice start so far...
He should have taken less "Millions" and stayed where he established something...I guess we'll see if it works out for him. I
wish him nothing but the best but glad he left because if he stayed maybe we dont get Kat...

Gonna miss this a lot tbh..
But I do think Ju gets shipped out at the deadline to a team that would be a better fit for him. Thankful for what he gave us but glad with the new team we have.

iHart's availability was always a huge factor in the evaluation of him as a player. For the Thunder to lose him for maybe 2 months of the season and it NOT be due to back, ankle, or foot problems is not good for them - those issues still loom, waiting to rear their head at the most inopportune moments.
