I had started Nobody Wants This, but I seem to be the only one alive who that show didn't click for.

I love LL, I'm not sure if I'll binge or try to watch 1-2 a week.
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Taylor Sheridan was recently discussed. As for movies he wrote, besides Hell or High Water (great) I also enjoyed Sicario and Sicario: Day of the Soldado

I watched the first two episodes of Nobody Wants This with my wife and thought it was awful, lol. She finished it, but it definitely wasn't for me. I'm also not a Kristen Bell fan at all.

I'm a big horror fan and started the Terrifier trilogy to ring in Halloween. Gotta say, started number 2 and I'm not sure I want to finish it and see number 3. They are the wildest, goriest, weirdest horror films I've experienced.

That said, if that's your cup of tea, check them out.

I've always hated the Mary Harron and Christian Bale adaptation, so this is interesting to me.

Watched Alien Romulus for a second time.

Has Fede Alvarez answered for why he cast a bunch of people no one could understand when they spoke?

The Penguin is great and Cristin Milioti is **** killing it. Been a great actress for a while and this is a career defining role that she's knocking out of the park.

EDIT: It's been like decade but I'll spoiler tag this lol:
Spoiler:
Semi related, but it makes me more upset about how badly HIMYM botched their ending. They nailed the most difficult part of the show (casting the mother) and they still managed to screw it up lol.

At the risk of jinxing it, especially since Marvel generally struggles with the endings, Agatha All Along has been so much fun. Nice to see Marvel can still make something good every once in awhile.

Also, wife and I watched The Ring last night. I hadn't seen it since back when it first came out and kinda remembered it being a cheesy but iconic horror film. It was much better than I remembered; just really well made. I think the ending could have gone in two different directions and both of them would have worked.

I was pleasantly surprised by the first "Smile" movie, but boy did I dislike the second one. Really went off the rails for me especially in the third act with some of the most unintentionally funny scenes I've seen in a horror movie in quite a while.

I did see this as an issue for some. I consume a lot of british content so I had no issue personally.

Yeah I’m just taking the mick. You’d have needed a steady diet of Ali G and Guy Ritchie before going into Romulus.

At a party given by a billionaire, Kurt Vonnegut informs Joseph Heller that their host had made more money in a single day than Heller had earned from his novel Catch-22.

Heller responds, “Yes, but I have something he will never have — ENOUGH.”

I need to catch up on Fede's filmography. Evil Dead Rise was awesome and Romulus delivered.

Enjoyed Romulus, was a great start to a new string of Alien movies for Fede Alvarez. Nailed the tone/atmosphere and had some genuinely scary/tense moments.

But they need to do a better job of fleshing out more characters than just the main 1-2. I need more than “British guy #1” and “Other British guy with difficult accent” lol. Spend more time having them talk, interact, be human in normal circumstances more so when **** hits the fan I care more about them.

Teri Garr passed. She was great in "After Hours," but her best role was as the "lovely and talented" whenever Dave brought her out as the night's first guest. She ruled. Hanging out with Teri Garr, not a bad way to wile away the time.
