I'm good where I'm at, thanks. I didn't bring up Randle. I'm just making an observation. You guys keep going on and on. I probably spoke more on Divo than anything else. I'm at peace with the trade. Worry about your own guy. Randle shouldn't ever cross thy minds with him gone.

Facts are simple. 4 years guarantee contract @ 64 million is better than 2 years @ 58 million. Being out for 2 months right off the bat makes it even more obvious the guarantee years are better. OKC ain't picking up his 3rd year unless he's trade fodder. Him saying he was willing to take a discount to stay in LA, then not accept the Knicks maximum offer, was a bull move. I promise you, if he wanted to be in NY, he'd stay in NY.

This was a freak injury. The achilles problems are just going to get worse with mileage.

Yeah mate, cool fact! You are new yorks gm? Mofo Hartenstein and his agent negotiating the best deal for him money wise. When your star player takes a discount to play with his buddy's, you think they would give him the rich contract he was looking for?

Nothing personal bro. All in good fun.
My "own guy" is thy current Knicks roster.
Bye forever Randle. Thy shall never don thy Knicks uniform again in thy life.
Randle shall cross thy minds as thy Knicks faithfuls express thy heartfelt gratitude that he's gone forever... and also as we run thy victory laps on thy a$$ that we were right about the Randle for KAT trade.
Thank you Leon for bringing us a true, modern NBA talent and dumping that outdated malcontent Randle!!!

Right, that's why I'm saying this is not good for them. They got prepared to watch out for the big problems with lower leg and back stuff, and before the season starts they lose him to a big random problem that has nothing to do with any of that - that bad stuff is still out there.
But I also don't know if I'd say this was totally a freak thing - iHart going max effort to block a dunk on the break and fracturing his hand into the backboard isn't something that's totally random to me. He doesn't shut his motor off and make [smart] business decisions when it's called for.

Don't you mean, OUR own guy?

As for Randle, it's fair to hate on him for the time being since he's not a Knick, eventually it'll dissipate, but obviously people who didn't like his game have full bellies after his first game.
The classics.

4/64 or 4/72 from the Knicks? I hope you really wouldn't settle for the extra $6M for an extra 2 years of your service.
iHart received a 2 year/$16M contract from the Knicks after being a relatively unknown backup that bounced around the league. Two years later he received a 2 year deal for $58.5M with a 3rd year team option to take it up to $87M. You think that if in two years the Thunder don't pick up the 3rd year option he should be concerned with possibly not being able to make up the $13.5M difference in the 4 year Knicks deal and the 2 year Thunders' deal in what should be the prime of his career with a higher cap?
What do you think the probability is that he ends up losing money for not taking that deal? Near worst case scenario he would receive nearly $8M total for 2 years as a minimum salary player with 8 years of service at that time. On the flip side he could have his 3rd year option picked where he would have already made $15M more in 3 years than he would made on 4 years with the Knicks with the opportunity to get another big deal before even reaching the age of 30.
I can see different reasons for him to leave but I don't see any reason for him to stay financially.

KAT hasn't even began to define his tenure as a Knick yet and closet Timberwolves fans are on the Knicks board hating on him to prop up an ex-Knick. Sad.

Shart already got his last major contract. He won't get more than what he just did from anyone. Most likely will get the same deal we offered adjusted for cap increases in two years. OKC will cut bait the minute they have to pay their youth so, he took the quick buck over stability. Perhaps they pick up his option for a S&T but, he's not getting a raise in salary after this contract is up. His injuries are chronic. They get worse with age.

That's definitely possible but if he is concerned with his health and his future signing up to stay with the guy that was playing you 40 minutes and entire halves on a bad Achilles to win games in January probably isn't a good idea. Either way I don't fault iHart for leaving especially after seeing how DDV was handled.
