Aint nobody on board for Harden, lol. Heat culture and Harden arent exactly a good mix.

Whats with our media constantly asking about Butler’s extension.. he has 2 years left 100 million, 52 million of that is a player option. Once he picks that PO and it expires he will be 37 years old. He is almost guaranteed to miss 25 games this regular season. What more do we owe that guy? I love Butler, but our core youth needs a young star, especially Bam.

I hope butler stays healthy enough to be an asset by the deadline. Its time to move on.

Dude turned Embiid into an MVP, imagine what he can do for Bam. Team still lacks a facilitator also. Being that we’re basically stuck in the middle id be all for it since we got nothing to lose. He’s an expiring deal after next season if worse comes to worst

Sure, Miami needs a young star but that hasn't happened in what... nearly 10 years now since LeBron left nor has the FO been able to get an older star either to team up with Butler and Bam for 5 off seasons (won't count that first offseason that Butler was acquired), so what exactly are you moving on to? If Butler is moved without a real star brought back in return (which would be silly for another team to do) then you can expect the next 2 years to not be all that great since if they're in the tax just one of them they start the repeater tax. So now if you're somewhat rebuilding on the run and staying under the tax the next 2 years you're throwing away part of Bam's prime seasons at age 28 and age 29, so if you're moving on from Butler maybe you need to move on from Bam too, which possibly is the reason they drafted a center in this last draft that is a year or 2 away? Seems kind of odd to draft a center now with a top 5 center at age 27 on the team and a recent 1st round drafted PF starting to get his minutes at starting PF. Trading Bam would be the player to net Miami the assets to possibly find a young star for Miami, then you could start this whole process over of trying to find/develop/sign in FA 2 to 3 star level players to get back to contention.

Miami could have just not traded Lowry last season, let his contract expire and been under the tax this year while having 1 more 1st round pick to chase their next star vs having Rozier on the roster, the FO didn't do that, they decided at the middle of last season they were going into the luxury tax again for this season with that Rozier trade, so the FO has decided on this path forward.
