Okay here goes:

Jalen, OG- they can get the bus home. Everyone else can walk.

The starting unit has no cohesion on either end of the floor. In fact, I reckon the reserves would probably beat the starters right now.

What’s cooler than cool? Ice cold. KAT & Mikal were way off with their 3 ball. All we can hope is that they’ll find the stroke when the team as a whole starts learning each other. The starters simply looked like they were playing hurriedly and getting in each other’s way.

Dadiet and Kolek showed plenty on offense. Pacome looks like he’s got a good temperament. TK sadly gets bossed around on D more often than not.

Precious was moving well and making sound decisions. Given that he went straight to the locker room holding his hamstring, we can very well assume he’ll be out for a few weeks.

Sims proved again that he’s the least skilled player in modern history. Huk must play ahead of him; he only got a few minutes, but he made a couple of plays. One thing that caught my eye was that he made a good pass and ensured that he didn’t create an offensive foul in the paint. Decent screens too.

I’m glad we lost this game so that there can be no confusion about how much work needs to be done here. We’ve got the pieces I think, but right now we don’t know if we’re Arthur or Martha

I wouldnt call it a test- this is a new team from a chemistry standpoint. Boston already has chemistry...I think
a midseason game against Boston is what you judge...

Can someone call Mike Miller and ask him to show Thibodeau how to draw up an inbounds play, since it felt like all his plays were successful, whereas with Thibodeau they might as well just take the 5 seconds violation since nothing good is going to happen?

Thibodeau is giving Davis Fizdale a run for his money when it comes to drawing up out of bounds plays.

I like thibs but he never draws up anything good whether it's inbound or just a play call post timeout.

are we ready for boston??

I said we need as many preseason games as possible. As it stands we seem soft in the middle and lack playmaking. Ragu> Bridges :D

Not that any of this means jack for the regular season, but here it is

1. Brunson - Looks ready to pick up where he left off last season.

2. OG - He's ready for the regular season. Has been impactful.

3. Precious - Has been great and looks improved. Hope he's not injured.

4. Kolek - Stud baller. He can step into the lineup anytime we need him.

5. Dadier - Biggest surprise so far. Kid got game, natural scorer.

6. Hukporti - Quality minutes whenever he played. Guy is going to be an important piece for us.

7. Deuce - Looked very good early, but has been sick so not great every time.

8. Towns - Erratic pre-season with rough 3FG%, but displayed lots of skills without putting it all together yet.

9. Cam Payne - Good enough the majority of his minutes, though has rough patches with questionable decision making.

10. Hart - Seems to be in hibernation until this past game. Not concerned.

11. Bridges - Looks out of sync with himself and his teammates. Small flashes, but mostly disappoint so far.

12. Warren - Can shoot, but hard to rank without seeing more minutes.

Nice assessments. I would say Cam Payne is a lot better than I thought....

WTF is that shooting form?

Hearing this knowing we're a half decade worth of picks invested is a lil worrisome

brunson looks crisp as ever as a scorer but something being left unsaid is that he needs to get used to being a facilitator for the scorers he is now surrounded by. i could tell from his offseason clips it was an area of focus for him and we've seen some slick passes in the preseason. once he gets his feel for that down the whole thing'll be unlocked

Has anybody in the media asked or has Mikal given a reason why he changed his shot mechanics? It so awkward looking.

Not bad. Starters left the game with a nice lead.

Starters left with a lead by how much? Missed 2nd half....

Thanks good stuff. Most important piece is I want to see the D system and switching gel a lot better than we have seen so far. I think it will but with these guys we should be much stronger defensively.

I like the overall game, but 4-23 in preseason from 3P land seems a bit inexcusable.
