any word on precious? he's one of the guys we can't really afford to lose (outside of the obvious ones)
i think precious needs to start - or deuce but I prefer deuce and hart off the bench.

If Thibs is too stubborn not to replace Josh in starting lineup the way he was in love with Burks and Elfrid, and if Josh keeps struggling to find his place to score, I'll start getting worried.
Also, Sims over Huk is gonna piss me off. I’m preparing myself to be mad at Thibs for the first few weeks.

Thibs has a point. Huk can only shoot better, block shots better, and protect the rim better. But Sims does his hair better.

can't entirely blame thibs for his philosophy as far as sticking with the "known" or "vet" type guys but it will certainly be annoying.
i don't think hart should start - that doesn't mean he can't close (assuming he's having a positive impact, otherwise go with the hot hand).
i think thibs is a bit rigid in his rotation philosophy and not that he won't make changes, he'll make them after many games proving it doesn't work, rather than changing it up in game or game to game etc.
Brunson - Bridges - OG - Precious - Kat
Deuce - Hart - Cam
Huk/Kolek as situational 9th-10th
Deuce and/or Hart sub in 1st for Precious and Bridges or OG.
Then 2nd Quarter Precious comes back and 2nd unit is:
Cam - Deuce - Bridges/OG - Hart - Precious
Then Brunson, Kat and either Bridges/OG come back in for Cam, Precious and Deuce/Hart to close the game with
Brunson - Deuce/hart - Bridges - OG - Kat
Too lazy to break down all the minutes but this can work well I think. can obviously stagger more too to always have 2 starters out there.

Kolek has to be in the rotation. Mikal needs to get it together real **** fast.
We still need another PF/C
Can we trade Mitch/Duece and 2nd to get Donte back lol

Nobody anticipated Mikal changing his jumpshot. i don’t understand why he would even do this.

The coaches need to take corrective action. He needs to cut this crap out

Re: PG: KNICKS vs Wizards - Are We Ready For Boston??
Someone else mentioned this: A good deal of patience is going to be
required with this thing. Basically a whole new starting lineup. It is going to take some time for everyone to get comfortable. They will each eventually find their place. Right now Towns, Bridges and Hart all look very uncomfortable and there is nothing wrong with that. Also, on the positive side, all three of the draft picks look like they will be NBA rotational plays at some point. That is huge considering the cupboard is not as stocked as in the recent past.
I think this will take some time. Brunson is Brunson so he is going to cook and be clutch so we will be I think still pretty decent out the gates but strong teams that have their identity already we may look a bit rough against early on. Our defensive system and identity will need to mold together too (that's an underrated factor here as well).

This could very well be the case and Thibs is tinkering/expirementing right now with a bunch of stuff overall to figure out what works best.
It might be bumpy early on.

I have no idea why he would change it. He's a career 38% 3 point shooter.

There's 1 motion 2 motion shots, then there's the trebuchet 13 motion shot that Mikal has.
His form looks better when he takes mid range pullups, when he sets his feet his shot looks atrocious.

I think he's just trying to get that fast formation back, but in preseason he's forming it very slowly at the height of his jumpshot, leading to front rimming.

KAT's defense was absolutely atrocious. We aren't going far with him at the 5. We have years of proof that it never worked with him at the 5, so I don't know why you guys think it will now all of a sudden. We're cooked.
Mikal changing his shot is some bs too.
We went all in on some mid. We not in the same tier as Boston at all.

it was bad this game but have to question the strategy - is he really being asked to deep drop instead of be up at the screen?
they kept doing simple handoffs and launching open 3s and Kat was way deep playing drop. is that Kat sucking or Thibs preference to play drop? is the POA defender supposed to get over the pick to disallow the open 3? otherwise what are we doing defensively?

that team didn't suck because of bargs and they still had chandler at the 5. not a good comp.
