We having this thread for all preseason games or someone making a new one each game?

If people have the energy i'm up for multiple, otherwise would be good to at east have the vs graphic for each new preseason game in the thread

Defense is how PJ won close games. I’d like to see JJ apply that concept. Our high PnR defense is leaking buckets.

That, and the phenomenal talent he had on his squads. Phil might squeeze a few more wins out of this squad than other coaches (might), but Phil would never coach this team. Wouldn't be bothered.

Yeah...sounds like alot of work. I'm fine with 1 thread for the 8 or so preseason games.

Crazy how good Lebron still is. Gonna be 40 in about 2 months. As a guy who remembered Kareem at this point.....it's just unreal the difference. If Lebron wanted to play to 50 (Had to play at least 20 min a game)....I wonder if he could. I kinda think he could. I think it would he his defense that ultimately made him a liability. But who knows???....this guy just keeps on truckin.

I'm ok with doing It, but since I don't know how to do pics haha, I'll leave It up to you guys, + I miss a lot of games during the week, at least live because Laker games start around 1-2:30 pm for me and most by the time I'm home they're finished or almost finished, so can only watch them later on.

Crazy how good Lebron still is. Gonna be 40 in about 2 months. As a guy who remembered Kareem at this point.....it's just unreal the difference. If Lebron wanted to play to 50 (Had to play at least 20 min a game)....I wonder if he could. I kinda think he could. I think it would he his defense that ultimately made him a liability. But who knows???....this guy just keeps on truckin.

I never question is ability by have concerns about sustainABILITY over an 82 game season plus playoffs. This is where other teammates like Rui, DLo and Reaves need to step up and do more heavy lifting so they can keep James and AD fresh. Hopefully too with better sets it will help other players be more productive.

True. And PJ also did have a very distinct policy to win the third quarter by clamping down harder on defense. You’re right, the players knew how. It started with PJ, though. JJ has some Lakers excellence to live up to.

I loved that he used Max as a POA defender and placed D Lo at the high PnR as a traffic cone space clogger — about all he’s good for on defense. We just have to watch out for the weak side three and the baseline lob.

Christie must start. JHS is ready to start and probably should.. Reaves can also start at PG. All are much better defenders than D Lo. Even the G League guards did really well on defense.

What I liked was the motion offense they are running. It’s not quite there yet but this bodes well. I like the curl motions to start the offensive sets, but not every time. Some triangle sets would be good as a change up.

Trade two of Hayes / Wood / Koloko along with D Lo and picks for a serious center.

LOL I feel bad, just never got into all this stuff, don't even like doing apps and what not on phones, many peeps use these snap app things, recently asked a girl out for a date (In person after chatting with her) she asked If I had snapchat, told her I'm old school, not a fan of that stuff and don't even do social media like FB, twitch etc, she was shocked, I just gave her my phone number and said txt when you want haha.

Difference being, Kareem had accepted (relatively gracefully) a second fiddle role and was helping his team complete for and win championships at his age against Bird… LeBron is stacking worthless stats and refusing to step back while ‘leading’ his team into mediocrity…. But hey…. At least we got to draft his kid…. So, we got that going for us… Which is nice.

I hear it...I'm hoping not to step in that arena at all with my comment. Just pointing to where they were physically at 39...and how remarkable Lebron's built. I said about 13-14 years ago that if Magic Johnson had sex with a Mac Truck...you'd have Lebron. Physically speaking...It's crazy. I look at Kareem as a guy who aged well, and squeezed every drop out of his career. But at 37-38 was a total shell of the younger version. Lebron is still very much a top player in this league. Physically speaking, of course.

Well....this kid has a signed contract guaranteeing that by 22-23 years old, he'll have already earned more $$$ than 99% of the world does their entire life. Why does he hate the Lakers, would prob be better wording. I see no evidence that he hates his kid.

I think we disagree on this, but I think Bronny will turn into a decent player. Decent, mind you. When I look at a terrible player like DLo, and what a complete zero he is defensively....I can see a guy like Bronny eeking out a career. Possibly more. His father will certainly see to it that he get opportunities and 2nd-3rd chances that most prob wouldn't get. We can hate that....but from a dad view, it seems like a good thing to me. But at what expense to the Lakers??

You could make an argument that this coach is geared towards his kid. I think their attempt to get that college coach known for great development was certainly for that. How many other things we don;t see/know are skewed towards seeing that his kid is given the best opportunity possible. All great from a dad view.....but from a Laker view....unless he turns good (and doesn't bail when his dad buys a vegas team) this is alot of wasted man-power and time on a guy that prob won't pay that back.

Now I do agree that this guy should be in the D-League, and not holding up a spot for a player ready to go now....but I see Lebron as a guy putting himself, and his son first....not just himself. That the Lakers are getting played like this, is really on them at this point. It's pathetic.
