I won't be shocked if nsj spends a good chunk of time in Greensboro again. His Pathway to rotation minutes here is just so incredibly difficult. As an emergency end of bench guard I would argue that KJ Simpson provides more value

Assuming that what we have seen in preseason, AKA spamming the three-point line, is a huge part of our offense this season, then it's understandable that Seth Curry will definitely be in the rotation

lee is a fan of cody

Charles Lee on Cody Martin's return:
“My gosh. It’s like a breath of fresh air," he stated with a huge smile and sigh of relief. "We talk all the time about just competitors and being consistent competitors and as you saw, he brings another level of competition and winning plays to our team. All of his offensive rebounds, the defensive intensity that he plays with, and the knowledge of just the league in general. He understands tendencies and where to be. And offensively, I think he adds a lot of value too. It’s just so nice to have another solid basketball player out there.”

They really must keep Diabate…he looked good in flashes. But can they send him to Greensboro of just stash him as a reserve? Taj isn’t going anywhere. I am guessing Salaun in GB for a while to get more PT and coaching. NSJ there also along with KJ. But what about Jefferies? There are way more players than slots right now.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

Jefferies is not a very good basketball player. Assuming there are non-basketball reasons he hasn't been waived as both Brown and Johnson, to me anyway, have more value on the court.

i agree, usually... but i wanted to show how i thought backup pg would go in real games. mann plays pg before kj and also to show how many guys have to get hurt before nsj is in the rotation

pg - melo, micic, kj
sg - green, mann, curry, nsj
sf - miller, cody,
pf - miles, grant, salaun
c - mark, richards, diabate, taj,

is this better?

i think Lee could get more out of Martin as well, not just through him into point guard like Cliff did

It's a me thing, not a you thing dude.

A depth chart in the traditional sense just visually doesn't make sense to me without a ton of added context. Some teams will have a 3rd string guard play more than a second string big, and so on.

Listing roles like Starting 5, first guard, first big, 6th man, 3rd string emergency C/PG, etc. helps my squirrel brain focus

I think the primary 13 active players will be:

Guards: Melo, Green, Mann, Micic, Curry
Forwards: Miller, Miles, Grant, Cody, Salaun (TS maybe not immediately but within a few weeks)
Centers: Mark, Nick, Taj
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

YES if they will I’d love to see him active! He has the size to swing into the slot needed. Hope he blooms with our team.
