I hope Walsh stays in Boston with the team and they run this type of drill over and over again.

Yeah, we need him to be on both Jays behinds in practice every chance he gets! Better for the Cs if Walsh pans out! Not only the jays but every one of our better players need to try to give him the business every practice, switch it up a lot, to make him have to learn how to defend anything you can throw at him! I even want him to defend every one of the bigs! Throw it ALL at him! I think he’ll be better for it because I think he has the defensive potential to be a PROBLEM!

He does need a nick, but will have to earn it. Maybe something in the vein of Gary Payton's The Glove or Rodman's The Worm. Not sure what it will be, but I'd like to see him become that type of pest defender that nobody wants to have to deal with.

I just realized that Maine Celtics players can wear retired jersey #s of Boston Celtics players. Because someone is wearing 7 and someone is wearing 2 out there, and it was throwing me off! So tell me: has any Maine Celtic dared to wear 6 or 33??

A little off topic but what do people think of the Maine name change? I preferred the Red Claws. It always seems a little desperate for a minor league affiliate to have the same name as the parent team.

I see the advantage to using the 'parent' team name, because otherwise honestly I don't know who 2/3 of the G-league teams are affiliated with. Most are not obvious through nickname or geographically (note: I may be stupid). But it feels like a modifier is necessary, like the "G-Celtics" (which is stupid) because otherwise you risk the confusion of "are you talking about the parent club or the G league club?" What has MLB done in terms of this for the last 50 -- 100 years?

I *did* like "Red Claws" -- not really at first but it was novel and geographically appropriate and grew on me -- so I guess I would vote as 'slightly disappointed with the name change' even if I understand why it happened.

With Walker gone, this is Walsh's time to shine.

The Celtics have serious plans to use Walsh IMO. We saw how much better he got between Summer League and preseason. The Celtics see him every day in practice. Giving him real minutes will be part of the plan.

I psyched he's got a real shot at rotation minutes. He's basically 10th with

2-3 centers: of KP, Horford, X. Kornet, Queta when one or more is out.
3 forwards: Jays, Hauser.
3 guards: Jrue, DWhite, PP

I think Jordan next, hopefully regular as 10th. But, if not, definitely when one of the 3 forwards is out.
Then Springer same deal with the guards, but more likely to be only when one is out.
