There is a pretty crowded race to the bottom of the standings this year.

Patriots, Panthers Titans, Browns, Giants, Raiders are all looking like firm < 5 win teams

It would be next year. Pat’s seem like they found their guy, but those others are definitely contenders for him.

Purdy has 1 more year on this contract. We need to hold off on extending him and make him "prove it" next year.

Part of me wants to think losing today isn't that big of a deal, since KC is an AFC team.

But man, this team has so many problems and none of them seem to be on the verge of getting fixed. We are seeing the same issues and mistakes show up over and over and over again. Right now this team does not have any one facet of the game that they can hang their hat on.

Its not like the remaining schedule is a cake walk either.

I would say this team is carrying a lot of concerns, but it might be this team just is who it is. At this point, I don't think we can confidently expect them to turn the corner.

It is hard for me to really judge this team. I know the defense is average at best. I know the special teams is god awful. And I still think the offense is pretty damn good when we have some guys. Losing Aiyuk is a big blow to the team no matter how he has played this year. Hopefully Ricky and Jennings can take the job and run with it.

If we just had some consistency on offense it would help a lot, seems like every game someone else is out or goes out during the game. We can't get a rhythm at all

Well it certainly looked bad. We'll see, but I wouldn't be surprised if that ends his season that never really got started.

Losing Aiyuk would be a blow for sure. However this season he's had more - plays than + plays. He's definitely not helped much this season.

He had a step and a half on the DB, and doesn't look like there is safety help over the top. That was a potential TD. At the very least, its a big 3rd down conversion and an opportunity for the offense to build some rhythm with good field position. Instead it was a punt

I really wasn't expecting them to win this game but how they loss was on the disheartening side.

Purdy was garbage and one of the primary reason we lost. All 3 INTs hurt especially the 1st one and especially the last one where we had to get at least 3 on that drive. 2nd one I suspect he expected Bell to do something different so would need to hear an explanation by Shanahan on that one.

Chiefs once again completely exposed the fatal flaws with Shanahan's offense. Overpower the offensive line and press man the defense and the offense falls apart. Every time the offense is this ineffectual it's usually because of that.

The defense wasn't shabby and the offense did them 0 favors but they still are exploited by the same exact things since week 1. Why is it so difficult to cover bunch formations? While they did come up with big plays they once again disappeared when we could've used a stop.

Special Teams were once again "Special" completely allowed a momentum swing on another return where once again the Kicker was in position to have to tackle. Of course a missed XP that could've changed the game as well. Granted a missed XP really isn't on coaching but the reason why we have a guy in there to miss an XP kick is because in back-to-back weeks we lost kickers to having to make tackles on returns.

Shanahan teams really don't hit their groove until the 2nd half of the season but hard to see this team being a major SB threat as it stands right now. The execution is just is preseason week 1 levels right now.

He did walk off the field under his own power and was carted off later so I do think there is hope for a sprain there.

It to me is an indication that his knee didn't explode and has massive damage.

You can walk with a torn ACL. Not holding my breath on good news given the way his knee went in.

They gonna give him the 60 mil per cause they want everyone to get their big bag or they will hold out and not be in football shape which is much worse it seems.

Terrible loss. No other words. The Chiefs just have our number. Spaguolo knows how to scheme it up against us. We definitely need to updgrade the C and RT positions to better match up with them. Losing Aiyuk obviously sucks no matter how he's played this season so far. But I still like our WR group with Deebo and Jauan and the two rooks.
