WNBA has terrible refs. Now that their revenues are increasing, they have to bring in better refs going forward.

Liberty didn’t deserve that win or that series if we’re being honest.

I agree that reffing absolutely needs to be better, but let's not act like like Lynx weren't the beneficiaries of some bad reffing this game, let alone this entire series.

I'd rather be celebrating a championship than bitching about the refs right now. It's not like the Lynx didn't have their chances either. They were only just a bit not as bad as the Liberty from the perimeter and got next to nothing from their bench and Courtney Williams.

I agree that the officiating was awful but I see people are ignoring the fact that

A) Lynx benefitted from a massive FT disparity in Game 4

B) They had 5 TOs in OT.

Courtney Williams went 0-3 FG in OT, 1 TO. She was flat out terrible.

Hiedeman had two turnovers in OT.

McBride had a bad TO, missed her only shot attempt

Lynx had a 24 sec violation in OT

Collier's only FGA in OT got tossed by Sabally

Liberty got called for 3 personals in the final 2 mins, 4 fouls in total in OT. The Lynx didn't get any fouls called on them until the final 13 secs.

The game was physical from start to finish. The bailout call for Stewie was bad, but the Lynx were beating the sh*t out of Sabrina all night (and that still doesn't excuse the fact that she was horrible).

The Liberty gave the Lynx multiple opportunities to bury them after that disastrous 1st half and they didn't do it. Q3 was a 20-10 win for the Liberty. Cheryl Reeve is classless for what she said and a lot of fans are pretending that Game 4 never happened.

Oh well. I hope the ladies are feeling wonderful this fine morning

The Liberty could have made an argument that the series should have been over in Game 4 where the FT disparity was heavily lopsided in Minnesota's favor.

On top of those things you listed, you also forgot McBride had as good a shot as any to put the game away in regulation after Stewie's free throws. I get Reeve wanting to protect her players (and herself), but her bitching is trying to remove all responsibility for the Lynx last night. They lost the turnover battle (16-12) and got outrebounded (44-33, 9-4 OREB). Had they just been a little better than they were from the perimeter, they would've overcame Ionescu's worst shooting night of her career.

The offensive set movements between the Liberty and pretty much every other playoff team, but especially the Lynx, are night and day. Saving challenges for nothing, saving timeouts for nothing (Game 4 still pisses me off and there was not calling the rollover timeout near the end of regulation last night), the trying her best to go away from Jones the entire series...

Her big positive this season was rolling out Fiebich, who looks like a championship role player for years to come. Her big positive this series was sticking with Sabally, particularly last night. Other than that, like goddamn she made the team so irritating to watch sometimes.
