The league is deliberately burning itself to the ground because they want Clark gone. If you are going to poke a player in the eye on purpose any reporter who’s doing their job is going to ask about it. I really hope she leaves.

Keep in mind that was a response not to the eye poke, but to the deaf tone response made by the reporters company; USA Today.

The doubling down on their reporter was the first extreme response to the interview.

I don’t agree with the tone and veiled threats that the WNBAPA response had, but I understand their outrage a bit.

If USA Today had been even a tad bit diplomatic in their response during a time in the league where tensions are a bit high with a new influx of all kinds of attention, this would be a non-story.

How was the response tone deaf? The players union response was one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever seen. It was a perfectly fair question from Brennan.

I haven’t heard the question so maybe I’m missing some context but it’s a pretty dumb question either way to ask if an eyepoke was on purpose. Like what answer are you actually looking for “yeah I poked her eye so we could have better chance to win”?

By asking the question you’re making a negative assumption about her character, that it’s something she would consider doing on purpose. If you’re Draymond Green and you’re kicking guys in the nuts and eye gouging and making dirty plays a dozen times a season it’s a fair accusation-question but assuming this chick doesnt have a long history of that then I can see why she’d be angry. It’s putting a target on her

I don't moderate this board, but if I did I would warn you for trolling.

It was the follow-up question after answering her the first time. “Were you and Mabrey laughing about it during the timeout?”

Just fire her already the WNBA is set to lose 40/50M already this season that alone should be enough.
