paulpressey25 wrote:2005 to 2015 was a golden era to be a season ticket holder in Milwaukee. Sure, the team sucked, but you got to see NBA hoops up close for a song. Easy free parking and fairly priced concessions added to it. And you could swap tickets so easily.

And we’d have threads about what went on that night, since so many members of this board could afford the seats back then.

1000% agreed. Honestly it got to the point in that 2010-2015 timeframe that if had season tickets, almost felt a part of the organization. I remember you could waltz into the offices in the BC, they’d walk you past the HC doing pregame interviews in the hallway, and just would upgrade me to 2nd or 3rd row from the court seats. As much as Herb was killed in his later years, he did a fantastic job of making you feel you were part of a family and not a subscriber to a huge business.

There were some seasons I think I got hundreds of dollars of concession cash, parking was cheap, etc. like it was a very reasonable night out to see NBA ball. They would give a game or 2 to all inclusive club too which was awesome.

Would I trade a high quality team for it all? Probably not, but as weird as it may be, my fandom is a little less diehard than it was then too. Just feel a little less disconnected from the team and org. As **** as some of those seasons were, I look back to that era in a positive light as got alot of access to cool things as a NBA fan, many good memories made by things the Bucks provided as in that time truly felt they valued every season holder.

For the people that stayed on board, any good, or not good, new benefits this year?

I would always have to reach out to get a refund to my credit card vs them keeping it as “credit” on my account.

This made me laugh-

"During the Bucks-Brooklyn Nets game in Brooklyn on Sunday, Oct. 27, the Bucks will host Tips for Tipoff Watch Parties presented by Michelob ULTRA and Jägermeister at select local bars. Gratuity will be covered for all patrons through the first half of the game, and fans can enjoy drink specials and giveaways beginning at 4:30 p.m. CT at Steny’s Lake Country (N29W24483 Water Rd., Pewaukee) and Milwaukee’s 3rd St. Market Hall (275 W. Wisconsin Ave."

Yeah I had to read it through like five times to see if I was understanding it correctly. So if you're a non tipper you aren't benefitting at all. But if you tip at the end like I usually do I have to do some weird math where I'm only tipping on part of my tab?

Glad I'm not the only one who had to re-read that multiple times.

Wait... For the first half?

Meaning if you don't complete your bill by first half you owe whole tip because you stayed for the whole game? Which is the point of a watch party... To watch the whole game. Which means you got zero benefit. Or do u have to review how many drinks you had before halftime if they will waive tips on your bill ordered in the first half?

Then do u game the system, if your bill has all tips covered before halftime should you order your food and all your drinks before halftime and then tell them to slow down in bringing it so u don't get it all at once and your full bill is non tip required.
Uuugghhh my head.

I'm really confused by this logic.

If it is simply people who close their checks before halftime it's BS and lame to my original point. You have to close your tab and then just open a new tab post halftime. this is kinda pissing me off for some reason.

Who the f*** thought of this!?

I wonder if players have a say in what they giveaway. Like how do you just not have 10 Giannis giveaway nights. Even something small like Giannis Growth chart poster night.

Wouldnt cost much and you have a few thousand kids with Giannis posters on there wall.

Lol wait hold up....

Are there really enough people who dont tip for this to be included? I used to deliver chinese food and non tippers were about 1 out of 20 to 25. And thats a very impersonal situation. I cant imagine not tipping in a restaurant situation.

I highly doubt the players know what the giveaways even are - let alone care if they are included or not.

Yeah, I wouldn't think so either but it is just weird there isn't a Giannis giveaway. I would be milking for all its worth.

Maybe the front office gives the promotions department a heads up to not feature a player they expect to "trade" during the season?

I can imagine it. Poor service and/or poor food = no tip.
