It’s gonna get real ugly for the Knicks if Bridges jumper is really this broken.

We could look back in 5 years and be roasting them for the moves they made this summer.

I understand why the Knicks are forced to play Towns on drop, but there is a reason the Wolves traded for Gobert.

Towns is gonna be targeted every single night if he plays that deep. Also, for as much great wings the knicks can have, putting Brunson on PnR and attacking Towns is gonna be a major issue.

Boston is getting practice shots because is easy to stretch the Knicks

I think I’m legitimately going to put some money on Tatum for MVP after watching this first half lol

Team full of overpaid role players surrounding their pygmy creator doesn't seem like a great recipe to knock out the champs. Only way that works is if the undersized star is the GOAT shooter (Curry).

5 years? It's going to be a lot sooner than that. Given all they gave up, that was team management malpractice of the highest order.

yeah I don't see how any team beats the Celtics sadly. Tatum fixed his jumper and Brown fixed his handle and you can't cheat off of anyone to help

Could have had further along Jared McCain if we just drafted McBride over Springer.

Doc and then Nurse wouldn't have played him and we'd trade him for a fake first round pick

Celts took 61 3s and made 29 of them.
26 out of 29 3s made is from their starting unit.

I watched this youtube clip last night, and what really stood out to me is how this Knicks team thrives when things get physical and the pressure is on. Players like Hartenstein, DiVincenzo, and Hart really elevate their play in those intense moments, and it fits perfectly with Thibs’ system.

Compared to their new replacements in Mikal Bridges and Towns, they seem way softer compared to guys like Donte and Hartenstein. As for Hart, he feels a bit out of sync with this current Knicks squad.

To beat the Celtics, you either have to be better than them on both ends of the floor or excel at getting extra possessions to make up on offense, or be a superior three point shooting team to make up on defense.

Right now, the Knicks aren’t as strong in securing extra possessions or in shooting from deep.

Our blueprint this offseason seems heavily focused on improving in those areas, particularly on getting extra possessions. Offensively, we’re aiming to either become more effective from beyond the arc or compensate through free throws.

We’re more equipped than the Knicks, but I think we’re on the same boat right now with them where the storyline of the regular season is turning concept into reality.

Celtics require you to not only match their offensive output or surpass it but also to never go into a drought of your own because they can make it up in a hurry.
Tatum and Brown becoming better playmakers and them having guys like White and Jrue who can catch and shoot and also attack a close out makes it harder for teams to chase dudes off the line. Their "flaw" is going to be if any of those four go down because their depth is lacking but they probably will find a dude of a scrap heap to fix that too lol
I'd just have dudes stay home and not overhelp as much and force the Js into a tough shot making contest...too often teams send doubles and traps and can't get back to contest..especially off those corner 3s

I'm starting to realise basketball and most other sports is trending towards optimal theory

It is a game after all

Celtics is full try harding the meta

It's going to take a special player to beat them.

Their defense is a lot scarier imo. It's Magnus with black and everyone else is barely an IM lol.
