Greatest individual player season in Hornets history?

Post#1 » by giordunk » Tue Oct 22, 2024 3:11 pm

Looking through 'greatest peaks' or 'greatest seasons' lists, I don't usually see any Charlotte Hornets being nominated.

What do you think is the single greatest individual season in Charlotte basketball history?

Just to be a contrarian I'll rank Kemba's 2018-19 first and Rice's 1996-97 second.

Greatest Hornets individual game of all-time?

Has to be the Dwight Howard 30/30 game right?

I love basketball reference. Looking at season leaders for Charlotte, the top 2 leading seasons for Offensive rating is held by the 1 Hornet great.

The Amazing Mason Plumlee for 21-22 and 22-23. (also highest season for true shooting percentage.)

Put him in the hall of fame already!

I recall one game where we didn't have a PG and Gerald played point forward the entire game and we beat the Lakers. He made kobe and that defense look foolish.

I didn't mention the 60 point game because I just figured that that was understood by everyone except for justbuzzin that game was at the top maybe that other 50 plus game against Utah as well from Kemba.

Yeah, I picked the Utah one because we won and because he had better all around stats (more rebounds and assists)

Yeah I think it's very legit argument to have the Utah game over the Sixers game at the top
