Chill, TKF’s flameout was legendary.

Anyone who’s where he’s at? He and Kane moved to Atlanta and were never heard from again…

I was legit getting worried he had the yips in the 1st half...

Same. Would love if someone asked him about it after the game cuz he absolutely changed his shot at halftime

I agree with this for the most part but with the OG trade we really didn't have to adjust our offense much. Prior to the trade and after the trade our offense ran through Brunson and Randle. OG came and fit like a glove and boosted our defense to another level.

Right now we have 4 new starters, 2 of which that are brand new to the team. The entire dynamics of our offense and defense has changed. It's gonna take time to see what works and for everyone to figure out their role. If I remember correctly the big 3 in Miami took a quarter of a season to get it going.

Thibs might indeed have to implement the zone next time we play them. But generally I am satisfied with what I saw. Hopefully they get motivation to bring it against the Pacers on Friday.

Thibs hates going zone. He would rather pull what's left of his hair on his head than go zone defense.

It’s one game BUT

I think the Knicks are going to have to play Mitch at the 5 and KaT at the 4. I also think one of Bridges or Hart need to join the bench.

Brunson
Bridges
OG
KaT
Mitch

It isn’t a 5 out offense but I don’t think KAT defensively can handle being a center in drop coverage.

Payne
Deuce
Hart
Precious

As the bench 9.

I also like the kids, all of them looked like better NBA players than the Celtics kids.

I'm not a Towns apologist but little early to say it's his fault. Team was in a tough spot when Hartenstein left. That was big. Randle wanted a big extension after missing the playoffs, and missing important things from his game and mental makeup. Towns is a talented offensive player and maybe can be swapped if need be.

The last game we won was when Brown missed those free throws.

Replace Mitch with KAT and these clips look the same.

It’s a scheme issue.

We always play drop coverage against them for whatever reason and it breeds the same result.

Maybe Thibs thought our perimeter defense would have been better with two good wing defenders so he could get away with it, but Mikal and OG were nonexistent tonight

Minnesota GM watched the Celtics game, realized how valuable Gobert was covering for KAT’s azz and gave him the extension

Some positives:

• Mikal Bridges finally found his shot
• Josh Hart scored in double-figures
• Deuce McBride looks to have taken the leap
• Karl-Anthony Towns was efficient
• Knicks shot 55% as a team from the field

But like I said in the game thread most of you know it takes time for new teams to build chemistry...

You did say that, but watching it just feels different, no?

If we came out and beat the Celtics today - I would have guaranteed we would win the chip this year. Honestly, I didnt expect a win just for the simple fact that guys like Kat, Hart, OG, Mikal and even Brunson are going to have to spend a lot of time making adjustments. Theres a lot going on...Kat for one had to move his family here and Im sure he didnt have time to get together with the guys and thibs to practice. The trade happened so close to training camp there just wasnt any time...

Talent can't win a chip alone- the fact that Boston won - shows you that their chemistry is elite. No way a new team (regardless of talent) was going to out play them. This is a team sport. Chemistry supersedes talent in BB.

So to answer your question it didnt feel different- It makes sense...

Deuce was the bright spot of that game.

As much as we love white donte his production isn't going to be missed.

I do think he brought a toughness to the team that we might be lacking. We have a lot of passive guys on the team. White donte was about that life. We don't really have a guy like that on the team anymore.

Yeah we may not want to admit it but Mitch doesn't guard anybody well in space .
