More athletic Christian Leatner, Better offense AK47, better defense but worse shooting taller JJ Redik. More athletic Dino radja, longer Kevin love, shorter Shawn Bradley, NBA ready Luka Garza, taller Adam Morrison with defense

He’s basically Jayson Tatum. Not a true elite elite athlete but overall size strength length broad shoulders package makes that not absolutely needed. And he’s got the right timing and his ability to create separation already is there. He’s a 25, 10, 5 guy with good defense. And since he already seems to have a better shooting stroke than Tatum he can eclipse him. whether he’s seen as better or not will be hard to say since Tatum has a chance to win multiple rings with his current squad

Let me know when COOPER Flagg goes to a NBA abyss.

You think he’s going to Utah or charlotte?

I think you'll make up nonsense no matter where he goes because you are a conspiracy nutter.

See u in June.

He appears to have good mobility.

Seems like a tweener, not a true wing.

I don't see this as a concern, when he'll even be able to even play center. He is heavier than Chet, and likely an even better rim protector (or going to be). I think similarly to KG he will play as a PF/C.

I wonder what Cooper's freshman averages will look like.

He averaged 16.5 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.8 apg, 1.6 spg, and 2.7 bpg on 55% FG, 38% 3PT, 78% FT, and 63% TS as a HS senior on that stacked Montverde team. I can see his numbers looking similar with less efficiency. I'm not sure if he'll be used enough on-ball as a creator to get that many assists though. And 2.7 bpg is a lot considering Maluach is there. But shot-blocking is Flagg's speciality though so who knows.

He's gonna flourish at Duke. He's been playing against pros since he was 14. I don't think everyone is ready for how good he's gonna be at Duke.

Cooper's wingspan referred to as 7'1" in this recent Sports Illustrated article:

https://www.si.com/nba/draft/newsfeed/2025-nba-draft-breaking-down-cooper-flagg-skills

Flagg is a 6-foot-9 forward who has a 7-foot-1 wingspan and weighs 205 pounds. He has great positional size and physical tools which will allow him to comfortably play up and down the lineup. Not only does he have those great physical tools, but he also is an elite athlete and is arguably a top-five athlete in this year’s draft. When it comes to measurables and athletic testing, Flagg absolutely dominates there and it will show at the NBA Draft Combine.

That number seems more believable than the 6'11.75" from the J Kyle Mann video.

Would you trade Tatum for the 1st overall pick and a chance to Flagg? that’s the real question.

It would allow the Celtics the financial flexibility to keep the rest of team together for years. Big risk though. Flagg in Boston feels like it should happen.

Many guards are heavier than Chet.

Fair enough, but that wasn't really my main point.

Watching the exhibition game. He look a bit smaller than expected. Not really super impactful defensively in the bit I’ve seen.

He's going to be a great fit with the OKC Thunder.

I know what people mean when saying tweener, but in my cannon, tweener is always negative, because tweener is someone who is stuck between positions, but can't play any position well. Some sort of Hybrid is probably a better term to describe Flagg, since as I say, tweener is by definition a bust, at least thats how I see the term.

But yes, in todays world, where Tatum is second biggest guy on court, or a ''power forward'', and he is probably bigger and more powerish than average Power forward nowadays, there is really no such thing as ''a good tweener''. All these forwards are tweeners, or rather ''versatile''.
