Magic were pioneers of the stretch 4.

eh, Rockets had stretch 4 in 1995 finals next to Hakeem.

Magic were probably first high volume 3 point shooting team that had playoff success in modern era.

What? If you mean Horry, he played SF. At the PF they had Otis Thorpe who was as far away from a stretch four as possible. So you're very wrong.

No. Thorpe & Maxwell were starting PF & SG of 1994 championship team. But at February 14, 1995 Houston traded them both for Cylde Draxler and Tracy Murray .

By the time playoffs rolled, Houston rotation was
Kenny Smith at PG
Clyde at SG
Elise SF
Horry PF
Hakeem C

bench: PG Cassell, PF Pete Chilcutt ( out of 3,2FGA, 1,8 were 3s).

Houston "invented" several things in that run:
1) stretch 4
2) 3 guards lineup
3) lineups with 2 pure point guards

Rockets had many different starting lineups that year.

Magic were first ones to use stretch 4 on a regular basis.

It was at first shocking they were going to do it after Tony Battie got injured and then it became a regular thing and the traditional power forward was gone.,

Those 1995 Houston and very next year 72 wins Bulls were first shift into modern basketball.
Bulls went out to play 6'10 Kukoc as defacto point forward ( and stretch 4), had Rodman at C, Houston had various small ball lineups etc.

And-1

The Magic invented the innovative 4 out 1 in offense. And rode that to the NBA finals.

What held AD back more? Average motor or injuries?

He can be so dominant on both sides of the ball.

Basketball history is bit more deeper and in this case isn't nba related.

It's 1987, and u19 world cup was rolling.

USA, Soviet Union were traditional favorites. But there comes Yugoslavia with bunch of 6'10 or taller skinny kids. One of them handles ball like a guard but is 6'11 and weights like 180 pounds.
They go to finals to meet USA team. They send big man on him and he just blows by him. Once. They are confused why 6'11 boy is standing on perimeter. He makes one three pointer. Second. Third. Fourth. Fifth. Sixth. Okey time to adjust. They send small guard, he posts him up and makes seventh. Eighth. Ninth. Tenth three.

Boy finishes with 11-12 from 3 point line. Boy's name is Toni Kukoć. And yes, he made 11 three point shots in 12 attemps in finals

Fast forward at world cup 1990, seniors , one of most memorable world cups ever, because world changed right after it ended.
Orginal Yugoslavia plan was to play Toni Kukoć at SF, Divac at C, Rađa at PF. But Rađa got hurt, so Yugoslavia rolled:
PG: Zdovc
SG: Dražen Petrović
SF: Paspalj
PF: Kukoć
C: Divac

And once again history, one made in 1987 repeated itself . Kukoć and Petrović flat out destroyed USA team with, for them never seen concept of big man playmaking, big man passing and transition 3 point shooting.

Now legendary Mike Krzyzewski after a game:

"Kukoc gives them a different dimension," Krzyzewski said of the 6-foot-91/2 swingman. "They have four guys who can handle the ball. They basically have an extra guard, and that helps them score a lot of points in transition."

That world cup changed basketball.
1) That was last Yugoslavian team ever
2) Failure of team USA gave birth to first Dream team
3) That was last Soviet Union team ever
4) Puerto Rico was damn amazing
