Congrats to 76ciology and Jailblazers, and Godspeed on your new life adventures. And Mik, good vibes to you with your issues.

I am as indifferent as I've been in years beginning a season. I thought being rid of Tobias would be enough, and we added a legit "3rd guy" and some hopefully solid bench pieces, and Maxey seems set to make another leap. But I'm more excited to see how Knecht does than anything else right now.

And now it's already with the injuries in a season where creating chemistry will be paramount. Maybe it will take a month and seeing some real ball to get the juices flowing again. Maxey and Nurse are the two things that give me hope.

It'd be nice if McCain is playing since it's a rare young guy who has shown some intrigue in his early play. He hasn't been ruled out yet, which is nice. Fully expect them to get murdered by Milwaukee though.

it's so dumb that joel played in the olympics given his injury history. and for the US at that. just another lame, clown move from him in a career full of them.

Yep

We should have unloaded him in the off-season and we’re gonna try and trade him next year and get pennies on the dollar. It’s been about seven years since I’ve been so down on a team — ESPN predicted Paul George and Joel Embiid will play in about 20 games together this year. They are probably right.

Don't mind that Embiid played in the Olympics. At least he finally won a team award for the first time in his career so I'm not going to hold that against him. Plus, I always thought that his slow starts to the season were a result of him not being active enough during the offseason rather than being too active.

You do realize that without him, they probably would have lost to Serbia in the semifinals, right?

We def need John Constantine on the squad. Some mystic dark arts stuff is going on I ain't about it.

To the team Tobithus is gone so already I'm happy watching us play... But yeah give it 2 quarters then stupid emotions kick in lmao.

Season doesn't start for me until the Sixers move those picks, so I'm cruising until the new year.

We've seen that Joel Embiid + ANYONE = 50 games won and HCA in the East, so I'm indifferent about whether he plays this week or takes an extra month to get right. We've seen Joel Embiid get pressured to return at less than full capacity and traumatically brutalize himself.

What was a big deal was how he looked last playoffs, the fact that he couldn't jump / the bells palsy etc. He looked slightly better in the Olympics, although not all the way there; and from the looks of the clips seen during camp he seems to be on an upward trajectory.

Although you can be as measured as you want with his progress and it only really takes one play - way with the state of his leg. He's a timebomb.

Much more disappointed with the manchildren of this fanbase and the discourse around Joel Embiid.

Been AWOL since July, but back and not confident at all.

The injury excuse is not valid when you know in advance Embiid and PG are injury prone.

Morey took the easy way out, as I expected him to.

I think even with Embiid and PG playing: we need a little more shooting on this team.

I think that even without Joel and with PG this is a good regular season team, so I hope at least PG becomes available.

If Gordon and Lowry are getting meaningful run still in March we are cooked gentlemen.

I was ALL in on this season until the Shams bomb on Embiid. Just fed up with Joel and the shady nature in which this organization continues to conceal key information from their fan base.

I've concluded that Embiid just isn't that guy. He'll never get us through a finish line and we totally missed our opportunity to sell high on him. It's a bitter pill to accept that reality.

I still feel like Lowry can give you 10 good minutes a night. Gordon suddenly looks old as ****.

You haven’t know that about Embiid since 2021? Thought we all did and we’re waiting on the right mix of talent around him.

Also thought we all were prepared to need a lot of luck with injuries and timing for this current team to come together and contend. Still feel like that’s the case, doesn’t bother me that so far they look like last years Embiid-less Sixers without both Embiid and PG.

I have known since 2021. Embiid is a great player, but the writing has been on the wall for years and I've been advocating for the front office to move him before his value inevitably plummets.... and most on this board strongly disagreed.
