Finch should be honest, the team didn’t come to play so Ant went black hole hero mode and we lost again. Ant is the guy who can take any game and flush it. He may have superstar talent, but you cannot go 3 or 4 minutes without passing and expect to lead.

My concern is that Anthony Edwards' hero ball (when he tries to "take over") tends to completely nuke the gameflow in a way that is incredibly corrosive to the rest of the team. It shouldn't have impacts on the other end, but unfortunately it just does, especially with more offensive minded players like Julius Randle.

It was starting to look like Donte Divencenzo was getting into a rhythm after a horrid shooting start (including making shots after a whistle, but instead of leaning into that (maybe by trying a high post possession for Julius Randle or just keeping the ball moving), the ball was super sticky. Just unfortunate to see that not improve from last season, it's been a reoccuring issue.

What's weird is I don't think incorporating Randle has been difficult.

But it's perfectly normal for there to be time to adjust for anyone.

Offensively, I would agree that it has been relatively seamless.

On defense though, there is certainly an adjustment period. Things like transition defense, defensive switching concepts, etc., seem to be a work in progress.

It's awesome that Tim Connelly and Anthony Edwards dressed up for Halloween as each other!
