Damn. I Just realized that I bought League Pass for this team. It’s never fun when the team lays an egg, but I’ll see what the vibes are like after the Wade Statue game.

It’s just one game, but the real issue is still with the starting lineup. Rozier and Herro don’t complement each other, it feels like watching the same player twice.

Butler is cruising as usual.

You can’t blame Bam for this one; the Magic's length really gave him trouble.

I just want to see Burks, Larsson, and Ware get meaningful minutes this season.

Many might not like this, but I think Banchero has already surpassed Bam. I've been watching basketball for several decades and I can see intangibles in him that Bam doesn't have.

Front office needs to make up their minds and decide who they want to build around, Herro or Bam, and get on with it. Go ahead and trade Jimmy to either PHI or GS. He's done with Miami. Should have traded him after the last run to the Finals. Jimmy and Herro would be my picks to trade before the deadline.

Might as well go ahead and throw Ware out there and let him get some on the job training.

This team is still running Jovic and Jagsmith at the 4 spot. Probably the worst 4 rotation in the association. I’d rather be dealing with Ware and Keldon Johnson getting reps and rotation minutes even if we lose.

Jovic couldn’t barely get any run for team Serbia and i don’t even want to hear about any injury. He’s not a front court player. He’s point Winnie reincarnate with a slightly better shot.

Idk..I feel like Herro, particularly in the first half, did exactly what people wanted him to do. He sat in the corner, didn't over dribble, and his shots were either open 3s or going to the basket. Even Rozier played with pace and got downhill. I agree its not the ideal pairing for a starting backcourt, but they weren't the problem yesterday.

Going to wait till the 5-10 game mark to really get a feeling how this season may go.
In regards to Jimmy, if he's going to not go 100% due to the contract, Pat has got to look to move him.

Neither are players you build around. If Butler isn't capable of being no 1 option anymore then find someone who can. If you can't might as well blow it up and go the tank route. Bam at his best is a 3rd option, maybe with an improved 3 point shot he can be a 2nd option. But I don't think he can be a guy you can go to game to game to generate offense for a full season

I’m not even a little surprised. Bring back the same team, lose key guys, give massive raises to role players like Highsmiths, sprinkle in a few rookies you’re never gonna play. Puts us squarely where we have always been, play in territory hoping for another “miracle run”.

Sure sure it’s one game, the first game w.e. Realize other teams have massively improved and we have done NOTHING. Unprotected first round pick to get off the Lowry contract, a tax saving move. THIS. It gets no simpler than this. All teams getting better and were constantly loosing key players and we keep betting on development and maximizing very limited players potentials. Front Office has been on vacation for at least the last 3 or 4 years. I even get envy when I see teams like Boston, NY or Philly.... even if it doesnt works you can see their FO at least constantly TRYING to make their teams better. I try to be positive but It is frustrating.

It might take time for him, but I just don't see a whole lot of upside with him. I see him as Danillo Gallinari type player.

Maybe Bam held his dude down more than it feels like...but it sure feels different.

Yeah, I have never viewed Bam as a number 1 option, but you can add stars around him. The organization apparently thinks he can be "the guy" based on the contracts he's gotten. You would think they learned a lesson from the Whiteside debacle.

Except for Jimmy and JJJ, everyone else lacks versatility in their game. Herro is a spot up shooter. Duncan is too. Bam is limited on offense and undersized. Rozier can't defend. Jovic is a role player
