Lawler's Law strikes again. Needed Amir's last FT to clinch the game, but then after that miss, the Suns go on a 10-0 run and send it into OT, win the game.
Harden's 8 Turnovers and the team's 9 missed FTs lost us this game. We played well enough to win but unfortunately only have one closer at this point and he wasn't at his best.
The stats are going to show Harden and Zubac had an amazing game, but they had a lot of bonehead moments. Zubac has to lead the league in lost balls and time on the floor.
Only ones that impressed me tonight were: Amir, Dunn and Kai Jones.
This is a tough first 15 games of basketball, hoping the team can watch videos and recover. Good effort, and the building was pretty electric! I'll be there Wed too vs the Blazers to hopefully see the first win in Intuit.

KPJ looked pretty bad out there. I was hoping he could be a spark off the bench like Jamal Crawford or Lou Williams but he is looking more like a slightly better Bones Hyland. Its like neither of these guys know how to play NBA level team basketball. At least put the ball in the hoop, sheesh.

I’m not worried about KPJ in terms of basketball. You don’t forget how to hoop and you don’t have a sudden drop or loss in skills at 24. He’ll get back on track--may take a while, though.
The real question to me is how much he can help. I had thought that Kevin Porter Jr. put up kind of empty numbers on a bad team—and it turns out that’s not really the case. In the 2022 and 2023, the Rockets were 34-86 when he played. That’s pretty bad. But it turns out the Rockets were 8-36 in games he didn’t play which is really, truly awful. He was a needle mover--about 8 games in an 82 game season. He made a horrible team into a bad team. That’s an indication of impact and that’s what we want. The question is whether he can make a mediocre team (that would be us) better and just how much he can do.

Needed that win last night. Up 11 with three and a half to go in the 4th, then the Suns with a 11-0 run killed us. Defense was stellar. Harden came alive in the 3rd but ugly turnovers in the closing minutess. Zu finally looked right in the 2nd half. Coffey and DJJ balled out. KPJ was bad, he has to play better than that. Lue can't do the 10 game sample size this season. Hopefully Jordan Miller gets some minutes soon. Good first game for Kai. Norm and Mann were alright. Who's going to step up as the 2nd-3rd scorer is the question for any type of success this season. Good crowd. Not a bad seat in the house. @Denver up next
