Tre Mann can play backup PG, but NSJ needs heavy seasoning before he takes those Micic minutes.
Maybe we see Micic dealt away at the deadline and NSJ join the 2nd unit for the 2nd half.
Tre Mann
Nick Smith Jr.
Cody Martin
Grant Williams
Nick Richards
Both Tre and NSJ can develop into microwave scorers that help the bench compete.
Huge drop-off when LaMelo is off the floor and Micic gets those minutes.
NSJ has a ton of work to do, but he's a hard worker.

It's really shocking. I was so happy that we'd finally solved our backup PG issues, and I'm really struggling with wtf is going on. Maybe it's scheme stuff? I don't know, it's just weird. He's making objectively bad decisions out there, doesn't seem like it's scheme related.
Was really weird to see him hunt his 3s multiple times, really doesn't seem like that's what he's out there to do.
I don't think it is scheme related at all, seems like he aged 10 years between March and now but he doesn't realize it

I'm in agreement that that was an ugly win. The offense was a struggle in the first half. I think this team still desperately Lacks Rim pressure. There were stretches of that first half where there were series of possessions where the ball never made it into the paint. Without any type of interior scoring threat the only way we're going to get defenses to collapse is through ball pressure. melo and mann are really the only two players on the roster that have any hope of getting into the paint neither of them are excellent in that regard and they both prefer to settle for floaters.
Not sure what's happening with miles. he didn't look good in this offense in the preseason and he didn't look good last night. The rebounding was nice as were the few highlight dunks and the hustle and intensity were there but I'm not sure where he fits offensively on a team with poor ball movement in the half court.
I'm quickly losing hope in vasa. He was one of the few guys last year that seemed to be able to get into the paint at will and now he can't get past anyone. I refuse to believe that he just completely forgot how to play basketball in the past month so I wonder if it's some type of system thing thats just a really poor fit for his skills. He doesn't fit the system well then obviously we need to start looking to move him.
I know we say this every year but the team really does need to prioritize finding a top end backup point guard.
How we dominated them on the boards in the second half is pretty astonishing given what they were doing to us in the first half so that was very encouraging to see the team gang rebound like that.
I think it's fair to say that mann has surpassed miles as the third option in the offense.
Curry is great for this team, he rarely makes dumb plays he's a better Defender than you would think and obviously he's a dead eye shooter. He's just a smart dude that knows where to be and how to play I think he'll stay in the rotation,

I think so, had some strong plays yesterday. (Someone actually went and posted the whole comeback on YT.)
