I couldn't tell from one game but I wonder if like good teams do we brought our A game in the 4th quarter or if our depth wore Detroit down.

Looking at the Q x Q stats on Basketball-reference,... I would guess we were sloppy in the first 2Q's?...
Q1 - they got 4 more attempts than us & were way more efficient .458/.400 = 3 more makes - they up by 6
Q2 - we outrebounded them, but also sent them to the line +5,.. = +4 points, they won the quarter by 3
Q3 - they outrebounded us, but we got 4 stocks to 0 for them, 1 TO vs 3 for Det, we had 10 Ast in the Q, got 1 more attempt & shot better = we won the Q by 1. Cade carried them alone. without him they shot .307.
Q4 - We got way more efficient. .611 vs .250, 2 less attempt, but way more makes (11 vs 5), 12 to 4 reb advantage, 3 - 1 Stocks, 8 - 3 Ast advantage. we got 6 more makes, 1 more 3, 1 more FT = win the Q by 14.

I would like to think our defense had something to do with their FG% dropping, but it seems more like they ran outta steam, while our guys were just heating up? If you take Cades shots in the 3rd & give them to the rest of the team,...we win the 3rd by 11. So, I guess Q3-4 was Cade trying to keep them in the game & couldn't do it alone for a full half?

From watching it (I missed part of the 1st quarter as I was putting the kids to bed), but Detroit came out hot at the beginning of both halves, and our defense was quite poor to open the game. The defense settled in as the game went on, shooting percentages kind of equalized a bit, and Indy just kept adding strength as the game went on.

The other big one was Haliburton started out 0-8 from 3, which won’t happen often. Hit a coupe of those and it’s a very different ball game from the beginning.

Not quite.

We were down 8 at half-time and then took a 1 point lead after a Tyrese jumper and then extended that to a 3 point lead after two free throws by Freeman, a 11-point turnaround from half time.

But then Detroit took control and by the end of the 3Q they were up by 8 after Cunningham made that long 3 and Holland ran onto the court thinking it was a buzz beater and got a T for too man men on the court.

I thought he was poor the entire night until the very last few minutes. Pacers also shot i believe 1-6 from 3PT in first quarter, which won't happen often either.

Meanwhile Detroit was shot and cooled way of by end of the game.
