Pacers vs. Knicks: 10/25

Post#1 » by boomershadow » Fri Oct 25, 2024 8:30 pm

The rivalry here is what I really wanna see. I'm curious how the team is gonna match up with the new look Knicks. This could potentially be a very telling game about how well the team is gonna stand up to these guys this season and...potentially... this post season.

The weekend gives us Pacers, Colts, and Hoosiers. If we only get one win, I hope it's IU.

Hali vs Bridges…….L
Nembhard vs Brunson……L
Nesmith vs Hart………L
Siakam vs Anunoby…….W
Turner vs KAT……….W

Starters in paper show a slight edge to the Knicks. Although I think they can keep it close.

Second team I give the edge to the Pacers crew as long as they stop McBride and Cam Payne. Pacers have a much better second team.

Fortunate first quarter that the Pacers held the Knicks close. Or the Knicks weren’t able to get in sync. I’m sure they’ll have chemistry issues to start the season.

Pacers had some good plays but didn’t look great either. Too sloppy on offense still.

I didn't feel good about this one but I didn't think 3 point shooting would be the problem. They're hitting. We're missing.

Wonder what Haliburton’s excuse will be tonight ? This has to stop. 0-5 from 3 and 0-1 from 2. Not the characteristic of a superstar max player.

Nembhard zero points, 1 rebound and 1 assist

Nesmith 2 points and 1 rebound

Siakam and Mathurin showed up to play.

Second team looked better. Probably because the Knicks bench is worse.

I've seen enough. Maybe they'll do better if I watch something else.

It’s officially ugly down 20 points. This one’s over unless the Knicks are stupid enough to let the second team Pacers get back into the game.

10 posts do not in my opinion justify separate game threads. Perhaps the title of this one could be edited to be October Games

Bulls beat the Bucks at Milwaukee. Raptors beat the 76ers in Toronto.

If the Pacers can’t beat the 76ers this Sunday there’s
some serious issues going on.

Haliburton has been awful in both games. I don't even think his passing has been at a high level.

I can't remember any star being this bad in the first 2 games to start the season.

Im def worried.

I said this last season I think trading Buddy hurt Haliburton.

After the summer he's had, I think it's not surprising that Tyrese is a little flat on his feet. He may not have played much for Team USA, but I suppose the training and traveling still took what could have been time to rest and recharge for the new season. Hopefully, hell smoothen himself to a lather.

I'd rather have him start peaking come the playoffs. We'd be really dangerous esp after having a deep run already in our belts. 8-)
