Raptorblog was a fantastic resource that predated the wave of sports blogs. It was the go to site in the dark days of the Babcock, Peddie and BC era. RIP Scott

I remember a time where I consumed raptors news from his raptorblog and raptorschat.
Also remember when he shut down the site, it was surprise to me because it very popular at the time.

Rest in peace Scott Carefoot

Clearly defense is the difference between winning and losing for this team.

I remember him as a poster and his name vaguely would make me think of Star sports writer-Editor Jim Proudfoot. Has the media landscape ever changed in 25 years. Holly Mackenzie... woaaah.

Some sick **** started stalking him. With a family to protect, it wasn't worth it to him.

I loved Raptorblog and used to get into countless arguments with some guy who had a great handle “PickedBeforeIggy” (ripping the Hoffa pick who was picked just before Igoudala).

This is sad news to hear.

Very sorry to hear that. His blog was always a great read during mostly bleak times for the franchise. RIP to a Raptors legend.

I didn't know that was the reason. Really sad.

What was your username? I was eminementerprises.

I believe I was blueprint.

Just browsed the site a bit on the Wayback Machine and wow was that a trip. Old game threads, seeing old usernames like throwitdownbigman and picniclightning -- my brain is straight back in 2004 right now.

I consider myself an OG Raps fan and this one sucks. I remember Scott was one of the pioneers trying to spearhead more Raptors/Basketball coverage.

RIP Scotty.

Oh crap, I remember. He was a prominent member back when I started on here in 2007-2010 with my original account (lionelmessi). One of the posters/journalists whose content I looked forward to.

He was so nice and insightful. Rest In Peace

This really sucks. I worked with Scott for a few years at TC when he was at the Hockey News. We sat close to each other, and I always felt like I had a Raptors "Insider" to chat hoops about whenever we had downtime.
He really cared about the Raptors. Great guy. Great insights. Great person.
RIP Scott.
