Regardless I'm very encouraged by Josh Greens defense. We have something here if we can healthy. Which it feels like we havent been since the desert storm.

He looks indistinguishable from Cody Martin out there, at double the pricetag.

Is/are 1-2 makes from 3 worth the premium? I don't think so. He doesn't move the needle overall, despite his defense. He had a dumb foul down the stretch where he crashed into a rebounder instead of fighting for the rebound where he had the positioning for it.

Another (not insignificant) gamenote is Lee closed with Tre Mann alongside LaMelo. Ball fouled out but that was the closing formula I want to see this season.

Tre, not Green, will close.

Win No. 2 if Miller played.

Last year the 10th seed in the East was 36-46. The East will probably be a tad better this year, so that record would likely miss the play in this year. So they probably need to lose 46 games to ensure keeping their pick this year. Think of every loss this season as being worth 1/46th of a lottery pick

With the existing talent here, we should be thinking bigger.

Youre doing the opposite of thinking bigger by worrying about trying to sneak into the playoffs this season rather than their ceiling next year and beyond. Being short sighted and ignoring the big picture is thinking small.

I'm not living for the future. We are not in a rebuild.

I’m going to spam Micic hate until something is done to address it. Melo took a hard fall last night. Even if the braces hold up he’s going to get banged up sooner or later. We are not adequately prepared for this inevitability. Mann is not a pg. Martin is not a pg. Micic is not an NBA player. Be proactive and address it now, not when it’s too late and we’re signing some guy and trying to fit him into the team the night before we need to play him for 25 minutes

I think Cody is just, but I flat out just don't like Micic. Gotta trade him or it might cost me something valuable in my home. He's one of those players who makes you want to break something out of frustration lol
