This Phoenix team looks eerily similar to last year. Crazy erratic.
Reaves has been a menace tonight.

Seriously, the number of dumb plays this Suns team makes is insane. Like WTF is KD doing there?

Hope they continue to win with DLO struggling/minimized. Force Rob to trade him.

I knew Ham was a terrible coach and I think anybody that actually watched the games could tell but just how bad was he????
Lakers lose both of these games with Ham imo. Both games had familiar aspects but different outcomes from last year. Wow.

But what is the deal?
Feels like Rui has to stay if he is playing like this
Still need a point guard if you move Dlo
Dlo, Gabe, and JHS/Reddish and Lewis in a 3 teamer for Lonzo and Coby White may be the way to go. Need to give up a 1st and 2nds probably? And find a 3rd team likely
Lonzo, Reaves, Bron, Rui, AD
Coby White, Christie, Vando, Wood, Hayes
Try and upgrade Hayes with whatever we got left? 2nds, swaps, JHS if he is left

I thought they should have taken one of the last 14 lossess against Denver but now I'm not even sure they don't straight up beat Denver in one of those series if someone knew when to take a timeout. Left to darvin scam Dlo would have stayed out there getting cooked. Then it wouda been another "Wild Ending" finish.

If Vando can come back healthy then I think this lineup could be deadly:
Reaves, Knecht, Vando, LeBron, Davis
Reaves, Knecht, Vando, LeBron, Davis

Looks like JJ could be a good coach and Knecht can give them 15-20 bench minutes this season
But I'm not positive about their season still, this bench is so bad. How Max Christie got 32M guranteed money is beyond me

I don't think the Bulls want to move White (would be an excellent fit here though) and still need to see more from Lonzo. He only played 14 mins in game 1 and missed tonight, not sure he could handle a full season and playoffs. I also don't think think they necessarily need to acquire a PG with the way JJ is playing through Reaves and Lebron, would prefer more size and athleticism replacing DLO. AR/wing/Rui/Lebron/AD is a more versatile playoff lineup with a higher defensive ceiling. Also, Gabe looked really good defensively tonight.. if he can hit shots I might prefer to keep him over Vando or Christie (when he's trade eligible).
When Christie becomes available to trade: DLO/Max/JHS is roughly 30 mil, DLO/Vando/JHS is roughly 33 mil, DLO/Vando/JHS/Max is roughly 40 mil.

He works really hard.
I think he will be worth the deal but he's not an impact player yet.

Lonzo for DLo makes this a championship team if you could guarantee health.

It's actually impressive how good they look with D'lo looking like a luxury. So far he's the only one whose game hasn't really scaled with the new system. Everyone is having huge moments. The way Reaves ran pick and roll with AD to drag the team back into the game, even Knecht coming in and hitting his first two shots in both games was huge for momentum. No hate but D'lo is edging closer to a 6th man demotion.

Re: The LeBron James- 24-25 NBA Season Thread
I don’t think they have enough firepower or shooting to win a championship, but they could manage a top 4 seed, imo. 4 wins was the difference between the Lakers and the 4 seed last year, and the Hambecile absolutely cost them 4 games last year (and likely more). As others have said, the Lakers lose both these games last year.

"Hambecile" Really did make me LOL...But, in all seriousness, he was just terrible. Still early, but things just look different. JJ just seems like a huge upgrade over Ham. It obviously helps that it looks like AD is finally ready to take the mantle as the best offensive player on the team. Honestly, these first two games Lebron has been in cruise mode, too. That's not a knock, either. He's damn near 40, he needs to save his reserves. Knecht could be the steal of the draft as well.

Ham probably cost LeBron a ring in 2023 in retrospect.
