OT: USA 2024 Elections Thread Part # 2 (November 5th is Election Day!)

You may have issues with parts of the Harris campaign platform, but based on her current attachment to the Biden Administration policies, Harris is walking a very unusual fine line. She is still Biden's wingman and as Vice President, she didn't get to set policy. As was mentioned the other day, Harris has to run flawless while campaigning and supporting the current administration, while Trump is being allowed to run lawless. Voting against Harris, isn't necessarily voting in your best interest. There is a reason, that there is a long list of Ex-Generals that reported to Trump, Ex-Trump Cabinet members, Ex-Trump Administration people and a long list of Economists and Scientists that are warning voters, that a vote for Trump, is a vote against democracy and also a vote against the best interests of the American people.

It also reverts back to Trump is bad or other people who we are supposed to follow think Trump is bad ....the focus should be on policies imo.

I've asked multiple times in this thread about this and it's been crickets. That kind of tells me everything tbh because Trump's open collusion with Bibi literally undercuts the argument that people in here are using regarding Gaza and the Palestinians and why they're voting 3rd party or not at all.

If your answer to Gaza is to help this guy get back into the White House, and it absolutely is if you're abstaining from voting or voting for Stein/3rd party, because that is basically saying "I want Trump back in power", I'm probably not going to believe that you actually give two sh*ts about the Palestinians and are just using them as a crutch as to why you can't bring yourself to vote for Kamala Harris.

Why that is, I don't know or care. But at this point, this entire position on the election falls apart immediately once you start thinking critically about it and how absurd it is when the fact that Trump is coordinating with Bibi to upend any attempts at a ceasefire.

Stopping the violence is not your concern if you're helping Trump and I'm not stupid enough to believe you otherwise.

Listen I think Charlemagne is an idiot but in the clip he addresses what RHODEY was talking about in terms of Harris and policies while making a clear case why Trump is disqualifying and voting for him shouldn’t even be entertained in the first place. You can’t claim Harris is unlikable then just gloss over the fact that the other option is a convicted criminal rapist who tried to lead a coup and will try again.

Black women will once again save America from itself, all I can do is be apart of the 80 something percent of Black men that follows their leadership. Because they always understand what's at stake.

The tweet with the lady really resonated with me. This is someone who lives through a pivotal time in history where the government kept her from voting and she has the receipts to prove it. It’s a shame that so many young people, especially young black people are choosing to throw away their vote or not bother to show up at all. 100% of the black vote should go to the Democratic Party because they are not the party that’s fighting to go back to a time where black people had to pay a poll tax.

Maybe those negative traits in a person don't mean anything to you, but I think it is a mark of basic sanity to actually care that the leader of your country does not have that horrendous collection of detrimental qualities.

With all due respect, this just comes off as weak and non-presidential. It's not a good look when a foreign leader can pull strings on a US leader. This isn't voters getting played. It's honestly the current administration, including Kamala.

Muslim voters in particular have been very patient here and are actually trying really hard to vote for Kamala. Just look Wingo for example. Since I've been on this board, he's been a staunch democrat supporter. Just recently he only started questioning things and he's still giving Kamala a very last minute chance. That's honestly some incredible loyalty.

This is a pivotal moment for dems if they truly want these votes. But it looks like they are trying their luck with the Liz Cheneys and other neocons of the world (the same ones who loved George W "freedom bombs").

Unfortunately the younger kids are disillusioned with the entire system. I can't say i blame them, I remember how I felt. It's hard to shake that feeling that no one cares about you and nothing that you do matters. It's kind of driven into you especially if you grow up in areas with high crime and poverty.

Hell, the reason i ended up getting registered years ago was because a Black woman who worked behind the counter at the DMV did it for me when I got my license renewed for the first time. I initially refused but she talked me into agreeing, and been voting in every election since then. I hope she's doing well, and I hope one day I can pay it forward.
