Never a need to hide Mids on D, they always give him a priority assignment. Bucks weren't going to waste Mids talents on Nesmith.

Jimmy Buckets has questions then.

Huh? Jrue was the one who got torched by Jimmy. So my theory was right all along, you don't know which player Middleton actually is.

Because he ducked smoke instead of covering his SF position.. another way to say we tried to hide him.

Watch the games. Jrue waived off anyone who tried to guard Jimmy. Wes was effective at it, and Jrue still waived him off.

Through 2 games Dyson Daniels is averaging 16.5 ppg, 3 apg, 3.5 spg, and 1.5 bpg with a 69TS% while going 4-8 from 3. He's a monster defender who can lock anyone up 1-4. Simply a super versatile player who addressed our every weakness. He's even rebounded well in the past. It was just a matter of waiting for his shotmaking to mature.

Pelicans didn't seem to overvalue him, as they still gave up 2-1sts in the Murray deal a long with Daniels and Nance.

Pelicans were interested in Brook. Shame we couldn't work it out. This was the deal that would have kept us contenders for years. We could have absorbed Paul Reed into the deal with the money difference.

Maybe the MarJon trade talk is less just dumping him and more this team seriously needs a better wing defender?

Getting burned by the Bulls in our opener was a bad sign.

I was hoping Prince could take on this role but he says he’s more of a 4 and had trouble keeping up with quicker guys last night.

If we trade Portis, we have no backup PF. Prince isn't good, and Middleton is a SF.

Now, would I trade Portis for a quick defensive combo forward? Sure, but we'd also need a backup center then.

Horst blew it for years, and now we're backed into a corner. Crazy thing is, Giannis, Dame, and Middleton might still carry us to a title.

You are what you can effectively guard. So Mids is positionless.. take that either way.

Yea, it was definitely alarming. Not that I ever thought Prince was the whole answer. Thought Livingston would factor in more this season.

Situationally Doc should be willing to play Livingston & Jackson to keep up w/ the younger, usually bad to mediocre teams, we typically struggle against. Ironically we do better against the top teams, cuz they're older typically (& we get up for them).

Unfortunately Doc is inflexible. Griffin played the young wings more to match up profile-wise w/ quality wings & keep up w/ the pace of the game. This is all the more reason now we could use a move for a decent wing. Though I don't think Marjon gets us 1.

As things stand now.. if KM ever comes back then there's no reason to play Pat C and that's a huge plus

Why do people bring up Liv in here? He looks stiff still compared to AJJ and Smith.. doubt he ever gets in unless he figures it out with the Herd

Liv still looks like BOA but softer and even worse at every skill... he's still young though right? He's a project?

Saw this floating around Twitter and Reddit from multiple people. No confirmation Ajax was involved yet. Hope whoever it was is okay.

You continue to try to gas light with this ridiculous notion.
There's tons of different defensive metrics, many have different favorites. However, there isn't a single metric that suggests Middleton struggles defensively. Watch a game. He acticipates moves, and then uses his length to contest. He brings effort every night he plays. Sure, we'd all like him to play more, but you can say the same about 50 other highly paid players.

Agree. If anyone on this team gets cut, it's Livingston. He's clearly last in the pecking order, and he's behind 2 way guys. His contract isn't guaranteed after this year.

It's only 2 games in but I thought Livingston would be given a shot to earn PT this year
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Return to Milwaukee Bucks
