Chips Act was probably Biden's 2nd best thing during his presidency. #1 was pulling out of Afghanistan.

Not sure what Trump is rambling on about here. Taiwan didn't "steal" our chip manufacturing. They are just really good at it while US companies like Intel are just full with MBAs and people really bad at their jobs.

The protection of Taiwan is worth it because so much of our AI, software, cybersecurity, fabless chip designers like Nvidia all depend on Taiwan. Not sure what Trump is saying about them "not paying for defense". USA is getting great return here (a competitive edge over Russia and China). Yet, we throw taxpayer money at Israel with no return, and he doesn't call that out. Weak.

This is why I've always said Trump is super weak on China and these other dictators. He doesn't understand any of what's going on and actually is easily manipulated. Like, when he says stuff like this, it plays into the CCP's hands. They're already blaring this type of propaganda into Taiwanese social media to try and undermine the democracy there.

The biggest issue is that he sees stuff on a very superficial level. Like for example, the reason why he makes fun of dead war heroes and doesn't care about military veterans...he thinks they're all suckers for sacrificing themselves to support their country.

Likewise, he thinks the US is being played for a sucker when they have to protect Taiwan or with NATO or Korea or a bunch of other things, and fails to see that it's in the US' interests (and probably many other interests/probably a moral argument) to support these alliances and institutions. Ukraine falls into this category too. He legitimately cannot understand why we're there. Then again, the Ukraine example might be a bit sensitive for him, given his Russia connections.

Aside from Trump being dumber than a turnip, his only true interest in life is himself.

Everything to him is completely transactional and if it benefits him, it's good, otherwise he doesn't care. He is too stupid to understand why anyone would sacrifice anything for anyone else. It is simply beyond his pea brain's ability to comprehend.

He is incapable of nuance and complex thoughts which is what effective governance requires. There has never been a person more ill-equipped for this role than he is. His presidency was a trainwreck.

‘You lost this vote’: Arab Americans in Dearborn struggle in an election where they don’t feel heard

Fahs says he’s disaffected with both candidates — former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. The way he sees it, it doesn’t matter who is in office — no candidate cares about Gaza or Arab life.

“Our government, which calls out other countries for human rights violations, why aren’t they saying anything?” Qazwini said about the war in Gaza. “Why are they being the suppliers of these bombs that are killing children and innocent lives?”

Zena Alzein and Zahraa Bahsoon, both 19-year-old Lebanese American students, said they don’t want to vote for Harris or Trump because of the foreign policies their administrations supported in the Middle East.

“We want to feel like we didn’t have a hand in allowing or supporting stuff like this to happen,” Bahsoon said, with Alzein in agreement.

“I don’t believe in giving either of them (Harris and Trump) power,” he said. “I think if every single person decided they’re not going to give power to either of the two, and they decided to give power to the third party, that’s when our voices will be heard.”

“It’s either third party or not at all,” Arshad said. “It’s more so just voting for anybody but the two parties. In my rationale, it’s letting them know, ‘You lost this vote.’”

Ajeen, who is Palestinian American, said she doesn’t trust Harris’ expressions of sympathy for the people of Gaza because she believes the vice president is complicit in their suffering as a key member of Biden’s administration.

“If she wanted to do something about it, she would have done it by now,” Ajeen said. “I’m not going to be the one that helps put someone in office that’s going to continue killing my people overseas.”

Dude, please zip it with the Trump won BS. It is a bad look to say anything about the results now.

Come on man, don't be a total wanker. Let it play out instead of being a low budget fortune teller.

Dude, just stop with this nonsense. You sound foolish.

Anyone with an actual sense of history understands this could be the last election in our history if Trump wins. Of course they're pushing hard to get people to vote. It's a fcking crisis. But jesus stop it with the predictions, because Democrats have outperformed every poll since 2020 and what people are saying days before election day doesn't mean jack. I'm nervous too, but I feel reasonably confident we will win. But the last thing I'm going to say is its over and its in the bag. That's foolishness

Not to mention based on reporting, even people in Gaza would rather take their chances with Harris.

Agreed. Way too late for them to change it now, they should have been preparing a Biden replacement for at least a year not having Harris thrown into the fire.

Oh yeah it is.

I won't bring up the antisemitic dog whistles either.

Rhodey keeps going back to her for some reason. She's a black Nazi like Mark Robinson.

Australia literally just banned her from entering their country because of the nazi stuff

Candace Owens has been banned from entering Australia, following a history of antisemitic, anti-Muslim and transphobic comments, the Sydney Morning Herald posted for the first time on Sunday morning.

“From downplaying the impact of the Holocaust with comments about [German SS officer Josef] Mengele through to claims that Muslims started slavery, Candace Owens has the capacity to incite discord in almost every direction,” Burke stated.

“Australia’s national interest is best served when Candace Owens is somewhere else.”
