I think ideally we finish last in division, hire Ben Johnson, and ascend from there

I’m mad because of the incompetence our coaches show week in and week out. But yea, i didn’t get excited after going up so at least I didn’t get my heart broken (becuase it already was)

Stupid Bears will probably trade for a defensive end now LOL. But anyway, this could cost the playoffs.

Character building type of L. They deserved to lose that one. Hopefully this builds the momentum to get these hack coaches the hell out of here. And Poles needs to fix that freaking OLine.

Re: Bears 7.0: 2024 Season thread
I don't know if I can blame Flus for this loss or our teams incompetencies. On one hand, he's the head coach, so the buck stops with him. I get that.
But in reality, we know he is a head coach that is in complete control of the defense. And our defense is damn good ... astounding. Washington dominated all game ... they basically played the entire first half on our side of the field if not in the redzone. Aside from end of game hail mary Flus' coaching and playcalling and command of the d let up 4 FGs. That allowed an absolutely atrocious offense to actually have a chance where they didn't deserve one.
So Flus to me has a solid grade as a "coach" ... I'd say a top grade as a "coach." Of course, that's not specifically a a "head coach," I get that. But damn I'd hate to lose a "coach" that can dominate one phase of the game. Even with today's loss, isn't it like 13 straight games we've allowed 21 or less?
I dislike blaming Flus (yes, penalties and inability for guys to get up for a game should still be on him). This is and basically every game the last two season should be on GM and OC ... it's all on our offense. Specifically, it's (1) on our offensive line personnel (GM blame) and (2) on atrocious offensive playcalling (OC blame).

What I'm struggling with is that if you like this defense, like I think most of us do, it's Flus we'd actually want to keep. This is totally his defense across hte board, including playcalling.
