Zubac dominating early on when finally given more of a role.

Post#1 » by OkcSinceSGA » Mon Oct 28, 2024 3:18 am

23/13/4 assists in his first 3 games. Held Jokic to 38% shooting while guarding him 1 on 1. Led the Clippers to wins on the road vs 3-0 Warriors, Nuggets in Denver when Jokic had 41 and 7 threes. Lost very close one to Suns in OT.

Guy is finally getting touches, and has been a league leader in post PPP for years, and he’s taking advantage of no Kawhi. When I brought up how the team could definitely get a 1st round pick for him, much of the forum laughed.

If he keeps up the aggression he could win MIP.

Zu had a sick fakeout this game. He looks lighter and in the best shape of his career. Could be a big year for him.

Core of Zu, Kawhi, Harden, Powell surrounded by a mix of athleticism and depth could make the WC interesting, and could sneakily play foil for another team.

I said all summer going in they were being underrated and would be a fantastic defense, and a better 2022 team. Scrappy, in every game, deep etc. So far I’m wrong about depth, right about the rest. That’s only because Lue is slow to adapt rotations.

Harden has looked terrible so far this season. Zubac has to step up to get the Clipper offense going. Dude has always been underrated and under appreciated by casuals.

Dunn, Harden, DJJ, Kawhi, Zubac -- Coffey, Batum

I've liked this team the most.

Mann and Powell could be good to trade for an upgrade at guard spots and backup C.

KPJ should get more Playing time. Seems like he's playing less boneheaded these days

Zubac is underrated, one of the best value contracts in the league. I've always wondered why the Clippers didn't feature him more.

Zubac dominated us last year too. The Warriors have no true center to deal with guys like him.

He's too short to guard legit 7 footers.

I think he’s basically like another Al Horford. He always makes things happen on both ends. I think he can play a lot more in the modern NBA

Jordan Miller deserves a shot.

Him or Bones. Porter just out there trying to do a poor man's Harden, without the talent or IQ. Wasting possessions.

Yea.. it’s not good so far for KPJ. Dunn should also start over Mann probably. Mann has not been good at all on either end.

He looks like he lost whatever athleticism he had left. Smart player, but looks like something is not right.

Clipps have had the best complimentary players in the league in the Kawhi era, their stars have just not been up to par sadly.

His 1st round against the Mavs was also great, he was a matchup problem inside the paint, and Mavs couldn't play him off the floor like previous matchups.
Despite being non-spacing drop coverage center, archetype which was deemed ineffective in the modern game, he's been very effective and improving constantly.

Bones is prime example how stacked NBA is now. Some here act like Bones is terrible, and he really isn't, it is just very hard to make it in the NBA nowadays. We see some guys who go to Europe and look great, and you might either think that Euros are terrible, or, how did he fail in the NBA? But thats just how it is, good players now not getting any minutes all the time. Bones could go to Europe and I have no doubt he would be a similar star to Mike James from day one, he is good, but now Lonnie Walker can't even make a roster anymore, league is stacked.

Going back to Zubac, my best fantasy pick up this year it seems.
