I really like Jamison Battle. Unlike a lot of our prospects, his body looks ready for the NBA and he has a calmness when he comes into a game. He is near perfect considering he is a rookie. He reminds me of Fred in a way. Every situation he is on court he does good things, and you just can't discount IQ and shooting touch. Now he just has to show grit on defense to show he belongs.

Cut Carlson’s 2-way and give it to Battle. Carlson has done next to nothing.

Just give one of the two-ways, probably Carton, the last full roster spot and then give Battle the final two-way. Carlson, as a shooting big at least serves a purpose for 905 development. Please don't keep Fernando.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Im curious as to who is available once teams start letting go of their non- guarantees, so I like the idea of leaving that roster spot open. Heck, Im also okay with waiving Temple if needed; he can move to coaching or FO if he liked it here that much

I’m a big fan of the Battle signing. Plays with poise, makes quick, accurate reads and is an elite shooter with good size (6-7 w/ 6-9 wingspan). Matt Thomas with actual nba height or svi myklchuk without dinosaur arms would be legitimate nba players.

More athletic version of Mo Pete!!! Possible rotation (9th man) bench piece on a contender.

Battle's 3 point percentage alone makes him worth keeping on the roster, and at least he's not a liability on the other end either.

Battle can shoot everyone can see, what is surprising me is being in good position near the rim in dunker spot

This draft was a GRAND SLAM for Masai and the front office.

Said it before the draft, the goal was to build the bench and acquire reliable role players.
We got that w/ Shead, Mogbo, and Battle. These 3 are the core of BENCH MOB 2.0 !

Masterclass by Masai.

Best part is... we haven't even seen what Walter is capable of.

We built a whole second unit through this last draft...
Shead
Walter
Battle
Mogbo
Chomche
In Masai We Trust :meditate:

It is early but it seems like he has the potential to be a nice bench piece. This is a great season to develop some bench pieces because: 1) it is a good year to lose some games; and 2) Raptors are starting the year with injuries so there are some unexpected free minutes to go around.

Dream scenario: lose a lot of close games and get a top pick (Flagg, Ace or Harper ideally) while developing Ochai, Dick, Mogbo, Shead, Ja'Kobe, Battle and Chomche into the new bench mob or plug and play starter (probably just Dick from that group long term but Ochai looks like an awesome 5th starter right now as well).

IQ / Shead
RJ / Ochai / Ja'Kobe
Scottie / Dick (Ja'Kobe)
Flagg / Battle (Mogbo)
Poetl / Mogbo (Chomche)

Obviously this is best case scenario!

Ochai still has shooting issues. He can't hit 3s above the break which will cause spacing issues for us eventually. I like him as a small ball PF. The other team will try to exploit that match up but he can hold it down in the post with his physical build. Giving Barnes limited spacing and forcing him to be a shooter this season would help him develop into a more complete player.

This is a bit hit or miss, he doesn't seem to get blown by or anything, but he fouls a lot. Hopefully he's just like any other rookie, and it fades with time.
