For the poll: I kinda knew Ochai can do this, in fact I expect him to also pick up his open 3's %.

But Mogbo, I didn't see it after the summer league. He will be a good system player, I think.

Denver is starting slow. If we can get RJ and/or IQ back and play hard, we might be able to steal one here.

Maybe it is only 1 game that I'm remembering and I'm magnifying it in my head but expect Westbrook to kill us. He somehow can suddenly shoot against us. MPJ is also too god a shooter not to start hitting. I think they shoot like 70% from 3 against us.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

This will be such an ugly game. So maybe the Raps have a shot.

I voted for Ochai in the poll. I really thought this guy was cooked in the league, and it was surprising to me because I really liked him when he was at Kansas. His turnaround this season thus far has been amazing, kudos to Masai for really believing in this young man. I think it speaks to the Raptors development staff, because it looks like Utah was useless at developing him.

Dick and Ochai have been the surprises so far .. but sample size too small to extrapolate right now...

Denver will be very motivated for their first win of the season, so I expect an L... but if RJ is back, it could be interesting ... also intrigued by cpntinued progress of Battle and Mogbo.

Nuggets are 0-2, i believe they will play hard to secure their first W. So i am pessimistic about todays chances for a win.

I have some hope that RJ suits up today. The Nuggs are pretty bad right now and we may well have a better bench but they should still win this one.

And I don't know who talked to Ochai in preseason but he def turned a corner where he got some actual confidence in his dribble drive game and realised not many people are gonna be faster/stronger and able to stop him if he tries to get to the rim.

Pretty sure by halftime we'll be saying that the Nuggets' demise was greatly exaggerated. This is still a 50+ win team, even with no depth on the bench. As long as we continue to see progress from the youngsters, the outcome doesn't matter.

Battle is a keeper.

Been a long while seeing an undrafted guy work their way from summer league and into our roster.

Edit: Meant to post this in the other thread, but I suppose it's fine here too since he surprised me the most thus far.

For me it's Battle. I am surprised he looks so comfortable so early in his career. He's been more than just a floor spacer. Not only is he hitting the shots you expected him to make, he is cutting & getting easy baskets around the rim. He has been rebounding too. He looks more athletic than I expected him to look. He is definitely not a Jason Kapono type.

I am surprised he went undrafted. Seems like his baskatball IQ is pretty good. OK athleticism. Good height/ length for position. Deadeye shooter. Good cutter.

I have been waiting for the Raps to find a diamond in the rough shooter for quite a while now. Looks like they have finally found one.
