I'm already getting worried that KPJ is going to be Lue's new Morris/PJ.

A 24 year old who has not yet reached his NBA peak isn't really a bad guy to be a coaches pet. He's the 6th youngest player on the team and the only similar age guy who could possibly get more minutes is Hyland.

He's already washed out of two other teams due to attitude problems and just not being a very good player. We have Jordan Miller warming the bench instead of getting the minutes he needs to develop, and we're stuck watching KPJ chuck his way to 1-8 and 2-10 shooting performances while contributing very little in any other part of the game. It just gets tiresome having stubborn coaches who refuse to make the obvious decisions.

Pre-season and two game sample size isn't really the best. Haliburton and Maxey are awful through two games, many players have two bad games.

Last time KPJ was in the NBA he averaged 19/5/6 over 59 games on 56.5 TS%. Probably better to give one of your young players more than 2 games to determine whether they can be useful or not lol

If coaches were just making decisions based on small sample sizes, they would be all over the place.

On a 22-win team that immediately improved to 41 wins the following year without him. Was he really that good or was it just empty stats?

I have less patience with KPJ than I otherwise would because of his history. He's proven nothing in his career and has been a constant source of distractions and controversies. I'm just tired of trying to rehabilitate other teams' cast-offs instead of actually developing our own drafted players like a normal well-run franchise does.

I too am suspicious of guys racking up numbers on a bad team, but there's absolutely no red flags here. Good production on efficient percentages. And we need volume--we already have Mann and Coffey and DJJ in the rotation, who are hesitant shooters and seldom if ever go out and get you 20 let alone 30.

I think Jordan will get his shot, and he's earned one. But at age 24, you don't get NBA minutes to "develop." You have to be ready to contribute by now. School's out. KPJ already has a major league track record and all the Clippers are asking is for him to keep doing THIS:

KPJ definitely gets more chances. It's one thing to be a low-efficiency chucker on a bad team, but he shot pretty well his last season in Houston. He also has good size and wingspan for his position, when first started seeing him I always did a double-take at seeing the #77 because he looks like a forward.

I am willing to forgive the slow shooting start as long as he generally makes good decisions within the framework of the team. His leash should be a little shorter due to his past. And yes, we all want to see Miller on the floor too.
