I have seen every Towns game. I can't recall a time he had 8 shots. It might have happened before but its extremely rare, people acting like this is the norm have no damn clue what they are talking about. This is a player new to a team and a scheme but being optimized. The Knicks will figure it out. 8 shots are ridiculous and yes, unacceptable for a player of his caliber, you wont be seeing this again on a regular basis. Abysmal offensive game from him even with the 50 percent shooting.

Edit: And before some jabroni comes in here saying its because of the quality of his teammates or whatever. I have seen a 22 year old Towns play with absolute scrubs. He has started next to guys like Brandon Rush, Jarret Culver, Jake Layman, etc. He easily still can get his. That said he has to get the ball, and he needs to be set up from time to time. Once he gets comfortable asking for it and once the team starts actively getting him looks, it will be worlds better.

You don't build a team with a floor spacing C, and then just not take threes. He was missing shots he normally hit until the end when he got really messy. But I agree with your point. He doesn't have e to take difficult shots with the killers he has surrounding him. The offense should look cleaner.
