It's not the system, it's not playing style, it's not the pace.

It's not having a legit leading scorer.

35YO Jimmy is the closest thing we've got, but he ain't it either.

Bam, Tyler, Rozier - they're a 4th or 3rd option AT BEST on a true contender. That's their talent level.

Correct. Any time we start talking about the coach has to do this, or the pg has to do that, we know we're not dealing with natural scorers. That's why I'm not caught up in FGA atm, it's going to shuffle game to game based on who has it going and who wants to be aggressive that night.
Okay.
But i am telling you a dantoni type offense would perfect... We have almost the exact players.

spo... This might be might be the solution!!

Which is why that's never happening! Even just Green, with the way he's started this year, is a stretch at this point. The time to trade him was a couple of off-seasons ago. Now all we'll get offered are broken down players or picks next century :(

That starting lineup....so bad.

Jovic hasnt looked great to me. Its either a missed 3 or barreling in to the lane to get locked up.

To me Jovic is the weak link in the starting unit. Probably need to replace him with Jagsmith. Unfortunately.
For a long time it gave me nightmares, witnessing an injustice like that. It’s a constant reminder of just how unfair this world can be.I can still hear them taunting him, Silly Rabbit tricks are for kids.I mean why couldn’t they just give him some cereal?

Yeah, its crazy sauce. Especially now.

As you say, the time to max out on his trade value has passed.

Butler is a legit top 5 playoff guy at his peak, but I dont think we will see peak Jimmy enough to win it all.

Probably couldve had Jalen Green, Reed Sheppard and a draft pick if we wouldve made a move earlier.

Oh well.

I hope he learns to play the game at a more refined speed. It still looks like the game is too fast for him at times and he tries to overcompensate.

He’s not athletic, probably has like a ten inch vert, has a short wingspan, and is still weak. He wants to be a perimeter player but is too slow for that. Heat needs to stop wasting his and our time and just move him for future second round pick.

I agree with everything here.

Though, Id move him to the bench and keep working on refining his role.

On the positive side, Jaime has been stroking the 3 ball early. Has hit 2 in each of the 3 games so far, and is 6/7. I'd like to see us feature Jaime more offensively, too often he's been relegated to standing in a corner.

Starters need to figure it out. Terry and Herro need to chill and get the ball to Jimmy and Bam more. Jimmy and Bam in turn need to nut up and start putting the ball in the basket.

Niko hasn't looked great but I'll give him time. We have no-one else worth taking his spot, and at 21yrs old, 6'10" and the ability to stretch the floor and pass, he's worth persisting with. Spo will have him on a short leash if he plays trash like he did yesterday.

Duncan has been straight poo to start the year. Reverted to Blumpkin status. If he doesn't find it soon, I'm not adverse to sitting his ass in favour of Pelle, who atleast offers two way potential and can still space the floor.

I'd probably like to see more youth in the mix, as I think they'll get us playing a bit faster. I get that it's early, a long season, and we will need everyone at some stage.

Rozier / Burks
Herro / Larsson
Butler / Jaquez
Jovic / Highsmith
Adebayo / Ware

Burks is versatile enough to spot some PG duties. Second unit to play through Jaime.

Be brutally honest with me trade scenario:

Rox receive Jimmy and Jovic.

Heat receive Dillon, Jabari, Amen, 25 1st rder, and 27 1st rder

I say put jacquez in as starter or ware but they aren't gonna play ware yet. Hope it is not something dumb like Kevin Love if they decide to move Jovic to bench.

I'd do it. Probably the best you could do with Butler. I'd try to get the 2029 pick instead of 25. And I'd flip one of these picks to Charlotte and get our pick back so next season we have the option of bottoming out if we can't trade for a star.
