Why did you have him in your top 8 then? Sounds like he should've been out of the 1st round for you.

I rated him too highly, I was wrong how bad he is on offense. How little his playmaking would impact at the next level.
I can adjust my views with more information, not get take locked for years like some.

Just say the name--Big J.

Clyde is one of the best posters here at admitting he was wrong and explaining why he was wrong. Clyde also seems to not dwell or relish on the past like many here. He doesn't really play "Got'cha" games like some do and is always focused on the next year as soon as the draft happens.

lol what? This is hilarious. Truly. I've noticed a few posters in here that go out of their way to defend Clyde. Very suspicious. Things that make you go hmmmmm

Clyde and I used to go at each other's throats.

Go touch grass.

just watch AB if you want to watch two way bball mastery

lol @ Magic is they put the ball in anyone else's hands, even Paolo who has no fkn clue how to actually run offense just puts numbers up because of usage

AB is like a 6-7 Chris Paul

based on what?
I ran a similarity score on per 100 possession and advanced stats and the top comps based on his rookie production were 31 year old Iggy and 30 year old Bowen.

That's a very positive indicator that a lot of the intangibles Clyde and others have highlighted are translating. A nice early win for them in my books. Year two AB will be in the rotation in a playmaker role, so we'll learn even more.

so a bunch of cherry picked mumbo jumbo. Got it. Wait, you think this stuff actually proves something? His path to playing time is in question more than his talent. They're going to have a hell of time finding the right mix of minutes for Black, Howard, Anthony and Harris. He's too good to trade but not good enough to play. Something has to give.

Cavs with legit one of the worst SL teams ever. But I love that ORL has this much talent and took it to them and didn't let up. Every team should have loaded SL rosters. If I was an owner and my G.M. put what the Cavs, Kings and Nuggets put out there I'd be pissed. Nuggets have been horrible drafters and haven't done their big three any favors but obviously he'd get somewhat of a pass given the dchampionship but there's no excuse for what the Cavs and Kings are putting out there. That's embarrassing.

He played 11 mins total in a 7 game playoff series....
Oh, geez. He's still barely 20. No players that young are contributing to winning.

The Cavs won the summer league last season, and Bates was the best player.

The whole point of using similarity scores is to avoid cherry picking.

The Cavs went undefeated last year in the summer league with some of the same players. I think the Cavs were 4.5-point favorites prior to the game.

Meh he looked pretty unspectacular in game 2. Just 5 pts in 30 mins on 2/7 shooting with 2 boards and 6 assists.

Maybe we pump the brakes on comparing him to Chris Paul and saying we should give him the ball over Paolo lol

zzzz. They're running out a slew of players that won't even make an NBA rotation. Who besides Tyson do you expect to play for them this season? Maybe Bates? last year's SL record means absolutely nothing and has zero bearing on this year. Are we supposed to be caring about SL records now? It's about NBA talent on the floor. As we saw with the Ignite, they had way more NBA talent in every game they played yet they won like 2 games because their opponents had older, seasoned professionals and were better coached.

9 or 10 POINT GUARDS or 9 or 10 PLAYERS? Players could be debatable (I disagree)..but POINT GUARDS only? That's quite a claim.

Fultz is a free agent, so Black should be given the keys next year for Orlando. I'm expecting a huge jump. I have a hard time putting a Topic, Dillingham or Sheppard over Black.

these are the point guards (yes I view them all as playing PG in the NBA or as much a point guard as Black is) prospects I like more than Black.

Topic
Castle
Carrington
Collier
Dillingham
Carter
McCain
Mitchell

I also think George should play PG and if he was to be given a chance he too would be ahead of Black but he likely won't so he isn't listed.
Cool
