on busy game nights it’s great for courtsurfing. you can choose which feed you want to watch and there’s no ads, instead you’ll see the in arena stuff like cheerleaders and t shirt toss.

buy your league pass access through the nba app. it’s something like $120/yr, definitely dont buy it through your cable provider. i guess that’s assuming you have a way to access the app, i use an apple tv.

I have Rogers. A year ago though we were temporarily living at wife's mother's house in a rural area, she has a Bell dish. When the season started League Pass was on free preview for a week or so. I could see whatever games were on LP and still see Raptors games on TSN or SN. But if I pay for LP through Rogers, then are live Raptors games blacked out by Rogers? Or by LP?

I should have made clear in my OP, I just want to see all the Knicks games. So I'm hesitant to pay $35 extra per month to Rogers for a whole Sports Pack when I won't watch much of it besides NYK.

nba canada or i guess league pass blacks out anything that's nationally televised including sportsnet east/west/ontario/whatever and tsn 1-5 and i guess hypothetically cbc/ctv but if you still have tsn/sportsnet thru your cable sub then you're good on those games. anything that isn't broadcast nationally in canada will be available live thru leaguepass subscription. so personally i stream everything on an apple tv either on league pass or with tsn/sportsnet app via cable provider login. one note is i thought i was blacked out for nba tv canada since i don't sub to that channel but those games are actually shown on league pass.
i guess the one thing to consider is what you're going to watch your league pass subscription on. i have apple tv's for both my tv's and occasionally watch on ipad but other comments mentioned the nba app being bad on smart tv's so i guess it's not a guarantee to get a good stream. for me the worst case has been a stream stalling out and i force close the app and it's good again after relaunching. i rarely experience that though.
so for me the only games i can't see are the odd one broadcast on sportsnet1 which is part of a sports pack from my cable provider that i don't sub to.
i watched a few knick games last season after the og trade and i can say the msg coverage with mike breen and clyde is high quality when u get it. wally sczerbiak in the studio lol

raptors games will still be shown on whatever network has them so basically to watch live raptors games you still need to have access to tsn/sportsnet

I am not sure I can discuss how to watch Raptors games in Canada with a legit league pass account, but I can promise you it is possible.

I am watching the game right now on my legit nba league pass account I got from FanDuel.

It's too inconsistent in my experience, but you do you

I think it’s your internet that is inconsistent. I’ve never had any trouble with mine and tbh I’ll take inconsistency for $10 a month with way more content over YouTube tv for over $100/month.

But you do you.

Two very different experiences. When you have a family, you need things to do.

We can’t be dealing with lag and whatever other issues iptv brings. I’ve done iptv for 10+ years and still have one for boxing ppv events. But YouTube tv is worth it imo.

Watched the world series in 4K tonight.

The sad reality is, paying all that money doesn't even necessarily give you a good streaming experience.

Those 2 and gamepass...

They really **** you.

You can always try buying league pass international via VPN for cheaper rates but you're locked into blackouts.

What's gamepass?

League Pass isn't a viable option if you want to watch live Raptor games.

Sorry League pass.

No but in order to be able to watch all games you need the combination of all three. *Shrug*

Used to work at a telecomm, they secretly throttle down some of these sites. You can report them, but if those are illegal website, you are also being charged.

League Pass on NBA is only $20 a month, but you have to pay 12 months. Otherwise, $130 + tax for the season, still cheaper than $35 a month.
You can probably watch all the Knicks games except against Raptors and playoffs that you need to watch on TV.

I'm so clueless about streaming, what does it mean "League Pass on NBA"? How do I get it and then where do I watch? On laptop?

On laptop, or some people mentioned above, having your phone podcast to your TV.
However, never like the mobile app (like everyone above said).

If you want to watch on TV, I guess there are two options. Use the mobile app and podcast to TV, or use your phone browser and project to TV (iPhone works, but I don't know how to get my Android project my phone screen to TV with bluetooth)

Never thought about Smart TV, I think it should work with the Smart TV browser.
There is a free trail, maybe you can try it as well before you buy.

How soon did you get your LP from Fanduel after your wager? And was it through email?

You can always do the online chat and the customer service agent will generate a code for you if an $5 eligible wager is made without using any daily boosts or no sweat promos. My code didn't arrive after a few days and the agent was able to generate one for me.

Personally I think it's the best option for League Pass even if you don't plan to make any more bets. A $5 wager gets you 3 months and if your lucky enough to have someone else in the home, a second FD account + another $5 wager brings it up to 6. That is just enough time for the start of the playoffs where nearly every live game is blacklisted since it would be on either TSN or Sportsnet. They did open up the NBAtv games this season as others referenced but that would only be for the first round and generally the worse series.

In regards to actually watching Raptors games, I decided to go the IPtv route last season and haven't looked back. Even though I was on a super low(in comparison to others) $35 Bell Fibe TV package for Starter + Sports, it was still pretty costly for the entire season($35x7 = $245). The guy I was able to find is only $10/month and most importantly added access to his server to my pre-existing Google Chrome Cast which made it both convenient and worthwhile as there were no initial costs for their specific box.

I had qualms about the quality of streams using my IPTV but realistically everybody probably has highspeed ~Gigabit internet in their home already. Everything in terms of streams is already on the internet via LeaguePass or a telecom's streaming platform so your essentially getting a pirated version of the same stream inside the IPTV service.

It depends how far you want to take this and how savvy you are with tech and your patience. I've been using IPTV now for over 8 years. IPTV is a general term for paying someone to use their server address where they have thousands of channels from around the world. It's illegal and sometimes there are issues where it functions 90 percent of the times. Internet providers have recently started cracking down on the addresses for it and are blocking them so you need to use a VPN to spoof your IP address. You would also need an app or separate device like android box or Google TV or apple TV or firestick. All in all it'll run you $10-20/month plus your initial cost of the box can range from $40 to $150+ depending on what you get.

You can also do the same with league pass to avoid blackouts. The old trick used to be where you use a vpn to buy an international league pass so no games get blacked out. I haven't done that in a long time so I can't confirm whether the NBA has cracked down on using VPNs.

Your other option is to have your computer connected to your TV and find streaming links from the web.

For the folks that have been able to use league pass for the playoffs, are you using a VPN or are you located in Canada or some other country that's not the US? From what I remember, it seemed like playoff games were blacked out in the US NBA league pass.

Every playoff game will be blacked out except for the ones they show on NBATV. They are national games in both countries so TSN/Sportsnet here and ESPN/TNT in the US.
