Jalen, KAT, OG, Bridges, and Deuce all have to up their 3PA while Payne and Hart have to lower their attempts...

That much is clear.

KAT typically has good games against Bam. If he's on KAT, pulling him out the paint is going to negate Bam's impact by some.

Stop with the baiting.

I'm not interested in getting into a corny flame war about "evicting Randle" or whatever dumb ish you're talking...

Anyway, yes drawing Bam and other centers out of the paint on defense is one of the reasons they traded for KAT.

However, they have to get him more 3pt shots so teams actually fear that element as a threat. As of Right now....teams can actually capitalize on the fact that no one is looking for him when he's open from 3.

Hah, how's that baiting. I didn't force you to talk about Randle. Like I said, rent free. Don't know why you can rib other people but act like this over a joke. Relax yourself.

But anyway, Cleveland is a hard game to judge attempts because on top of the small amout of pick and rolls, when there was a pick and roll, they rotated either Morris or Allen to defend KAT's 3 point shooting, and not the opposing guard where KAT can shoot over. JB has to do a better job, but KAT has to set a stronger pick. Like that pick with Bridges and Hukporti was text book. That should be available all the time.

i personally think having a difficult schedule at the onset of the season is a blessing in disguise - early success against **** teams would only enable thibs to believe his pre-existing schemes on both ends "work" despite having vastly different personnel

not that i'm rooting for losses or anything of that nature but if we're going to lose early then we may as well lose w/ some purpose and take something from them rather than continue to stubbornly try to play a familiar style despite the poor results

As is the case with any game against Miami, let’s just try to make it out without anyone getting injured.

Absolutely wild that jHart and Payne are the two most featured offensive weapons on our team.

It's baiting because you're intentionally trying to provoke me into flaming you up. All of that "evicting Randle", "rent free" stuff is trash talk intended to draw me into a contentious back-and-forth about nothing. We've done it a dozen times already..don't you get bored of it?

All the of the rest of your post about the Cavs game is good stuff and I agree 100%. Ultimately, the offensive adjustments will come as quickly as Thibs gets to work on it.

If the Knicks come out looking lost again, it mean Thibs is still leaving the players to figure it out themselves...and we will be in for a VERY rocky 1st quarter of the season.

While I have a lot of concern about the structure of the offense. The defense has been nice. Though I don't know if that's cause the pace of the game we play. Cavs did shoot almost 50% from the field last game which is a lil concerning. That said if Brunson was Brunson the knicks win.

I honestly dgaf how the knicks win as long as they win. I have no preference how we get there - blowing teams out is nice cause im not a fan of stress. That said it's prolly not sustainable to feature jHart and Payne.

It is

We give up the most points per100 of any team in the league so far. Offense scores the 4th most per100

We're just dead last in pace, so both look like middle of the pack. Last year our pace was 95.2 (dead last in the league), this year so far it's 94.0. Last year the D rating was 113.4 which was 10th (this year would be 13th), this year it's 120.6 which would also have been dead last last year

We have a hyper-efficient offense, as a team we're averaging .601 TS (currently 5th in the league, would also have been 5th last year), we just can't stop anyone.

Yeah we are cool, growing pains, and we have half a boat load of bigs and sniper talent coming back to the team within the next ~ 2months. Maybe we'll still need to add more playmaking in the front court , but its whatever I have faith in the FO longterm.

Unacceptable. This is modern basketball. I wonder where the team ranks in 3PAs in general. I feel like we don't shoot enough

Hopefully that's just a small sample size and extremely inflated by that horrible Cs game.

My memory is sht but I feel they played well again the pacers and the cavs for 3quarters.

Idk, get well soon Mitch and develop Huk.

I understand looking at these things as a whole but let's not get too caught up in over analyzing a small sample size considering there's alot of chemistry building going on. We know what this team should be doing on both ends of the court to be successful but after just a few games there's no conclusion to be drawn yet.

Yea, that Cs game will skew things for a while longer. The team has been pretty good defensively after the first game except letting Garland go off in the 4th quarter to spoil a decent effort.

It's all small sample sizes tbh

But yes, the defensive rating the last 2 games was 106.1, which would be top 5, and offensive rating was 117.6, so offense didn't really drop off

The Celtics game is worrying though, cause it kinda shows the blueprint to beat us and because if we want to win, we have to go through them.
